Showed useful form as a 3-y-o in Ireland before moving to Hong Kong, where he recorded a hat-trick on the dirt at Sha Tin (all at 8f) in spring 2023. Made the frame on final outing in October that year, but absent 22 months ahead of first run since leaving F. C. Lor.
It's now 17 runs since his last win which came at this C&D back in 2023. Made encouraging return when runner-up here in April but below form since, seventh of 12 in Bunbury Cup at Newmarket (7f, good) last time. Cheekpieces back on.
Has shown improved form for current yard this season, landing 16-runner handicap at this course (6f) in May. Soon left behind a lesser effort when fifth of 21 in International Stakes at Ascot (7f, good to firm) 2 weeks ago and he's respected back down in grade.
Confirmed debut promise when an impressive winner of a Nottingham novice (8.3f) in May, before following up under a penalty at Newcastle (7f). Found it tougher when sixth of 8 in listed race at Chester (7f, good to firm) last time, but he's major player making handicap debut.
Winless since Glorious Goodwood last year but had been shaping well on all-weather this season, before a below-par effort at Lingfield in April. After 3 months off, not ideally placed when mid-field back at Goodwood (7f, good) 10 days ago. Interesting from below last winning mark.
Not long with this yard and caught the eye equipped with a hood when fifth of 14 at Doncaster (7f) in June. Excuses back at Doncaster last time, though with the hood left off he was again very slowly away when mid-field in International Stakes at Ascot 2 weeks ago.
C&D winner who also recorded back-to-back wins at Leicester and Windsor last June. Well held on final 2 outings of the campaign, though he has run well fresh in the past so he's not ruled out on return from 11 months off.
Looked potentially useful when winning first of his 3 starts last season and stepped forward from this season's return when fifth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good) 3 weeks ago. Needs to find more, though he does still remain lightly raced.
A while since his last success but produced one of better efforts this season when runner-up at Leicester (7f) in June. Hasn't been in the same form both starts since, eighth of 10 at Doncaster (7f, good) 3 weeks ago, though he lurks on a dangerous mark.

Having recorded back-to-back victories in novice races, EXCELLENT BELIEVE had his winning run ended upped to listed level at Chester last month, but he could well resume his progress as he makes the switch to a handicap. The 3-y-o can see off the challenge of Kodi Lion, who isn't taken lightly as he drops back in grade, with Blue Prince also one to note.
