6-y-o who arrives on a long losing run but placed in 3 of 4 races in Bahrain earlier this year. Absent since finishing down the field in handicap at Kempton in March (had excuses then) and no surprise to see a better showing back on turf having switched yards ahead of this.

Gelded ahead of return and proved at least as good as ever, successful at Chester (10.3f) in May and acquitted himself with plenty of credit in stronger company since, good second in Old Newton Cup at Haydock (11.8f) on latest start 5 weeks ago. Well worth considering eased in class.

Won twice at Southwell (both at 12.1f) last year and encouraging efforts all 3 starts this term, second of 5 in handicap at Newbury (12f, good to firm) 21 days ago, just failing to reel in a completely unexposed 3-y-o. Respected once more.

Fairly useful 9.5f winner for Andre Fabre in 2023. Very lightly raced since and he shaped better than on his stable debut when third of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (12.4f, 12/1) 13 days ago. Highly likely there's an even bigger effort in his locker on that evidence. Interesting.

Successful 3 times at around 10f last season and best effort of present campaign when second in a big-field handicap at York (10.2f) in June. Latest midfield effort back on the Knavesmire was a creditable display and he's still unexposed at this sort of trip.

Kept busy since the turn of the year, bagging a fourth victory since February having been allowed to dictate in 3-runner handicap at Beverley (2m) 24 days ago. Drop back in trip will hold no fears and promising rider takes off a very handy 5 lb.

Paddy The Squire (5/6), Sax Appeal (5/1), Melek Alreeh (5/1), Financer (7/1), Ribble Vibe (12/1), Mr Alan (18/1)
An interesting handicap despite the small field with the vote in favour of RIBBLE VIBE. He stepped up plenty on his reappearance/stable debut effort when third in a Newcastle handicap 13 days ago, whilst leaving the distinct impression there's an even bigger effort in his locker. That said, Old Newton Cup runner-up Paddy The Squire and Melek Alreeh are likely to give David O'Meara's 4-y-o plenty to think about.
