Can be slowly away but has generally proved very consistent on the all-weather this year, ending a long losing run when winning at Southwell (6.1f) 8 days ago, the race being run to suit. Races in a similar grade under a penalty but will need things to fall right to follow up back on turf.
Promising signs when third in a pair of 6f handicaps earlier in the season and best not judged on most recent run when eighth of 14 in handicap at Newbury (6f, firm) 26 days ago, not ideally placed on the far flank. Was well-backed that day and could well be in the shake up off an unchanged mark.
Won a 6f handicap at Leicester in April off 1 lb lower and wasn't disgraced when respectable third of 6 in handicap at Chepstow (5.1f, good) 11 days ago, lacking the pace to get involved over the shorter trip. One to be interested in returning to 6f.
Back to winning ways at Windsor (6f, good to firm) in May but hasn't helped himself by racing freely on subsequent starts, latest below form seventh of 14 in handicap (8/1) at Newbury (6f, firm) 26 days ago. Could make more of an impact if settling better.
C&D winner isn't the most straightforward but was a 6f winner at Chepstow in June and finished a creditable second of 6 in handicap (6f) on return to that track 19 days ago. Should remain competitive.
Back on track in first time tongue strap when third on penultimate start and shaped as if still in good form when fifth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 12 days ago, hindered by a slow start. Should give a good account if getting away on terms.
Dual all-weather winner failed to build on promise of previous run when last of 10 in handicap at Newbury (8f, good to firm, 20/1) 18 days ago, connections blaming conditions. Remains to be seen if the return to sprinting and slightly easier ground prompts a better performance.
C&D winner. Fourteen runs since last win in 2023 and seems to be going through the motions at present 15/2, seventh of 8 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 10 days ago.

Forecasts
Dark Rosa (15/8), Monsieur Patat (4/1), Hierarchy (9/2), Charlie Mason (15/2), On Edge (17/2), Papabella (9/1), Starproof (12/1), Punchbowl Flyer (14/1), Spirit Lead Me (40/1)
CHARLIE MASON is 1 lb lower than when successful over this trip at Leicester earlier in the season and will be suited by the step back up in distance having ran creditably over a sharper test at Chepstow 11 days ago. He's preferred to Dark Rosa who shaped as if in good form at Doncaster last month, where held back by an unusually slow start, while On Edge looks worth another chance having been caught in a far from ideal position at Windsor last time.
