Failed to progress for Clive Cox. Last on Newbury debut for this yard and has since unseated in a couple of juvenile hurdles. Plenty to prove.

12/1 and cheekpieces on first time, fifth of 7 in handicap at Ffos Las (1½m, good) 12 days ago. Being eased a further 3 lb can only help.
Running consistently well but somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory when second of 5 at Chepstow (1¼m, good to soft) 11 days ago, getting worried out of it late on. More severe headgear (blinkers for cheekpieces) is tried now. Player under Billy Loughnane.
Consistent in defeat in handicaps this summer, stepping up to 1¼m for the first time when fourth at Yarmouth (good) 25 days ago. Likely to be in the shake-up again.
Lightly-raced maiden. 20/1, last of 7 in novice at Nottingham (1¼m, good) 10 days ago. Tom Marquand rides on handicap debut. Worth a precautionary betting check.
9/1, creditable third of 8 in handicap at Epsom (1¼m, good to firm) 18 days ago, benefiting from the drop back in trip. Wears first-time cheekpieces here.
18/1, last of 9 in handicap at Ffos Las (1¼m, good to soft) 28 days ago. The cheekpieces he's worn in recent starts are left off here.
Possibly unsuited by soft ground when eighth of 9 in handicap at Ffos Las last time as he went close over 11.5f at Leicester on good prior to that. First run for yard after leaving Kevin Philippart De Foy.
Hooded first time, fifth of 8 in handicap (12/1) at Epsom (1¼m, good to firm) 18 days ago. Others are more persuasive.
Lightly-raced maiden. Improved when head second of 10 on handicap debut at Lingfield (9f, good) 20 days ago, carrying her head awkwardly and hanging left but pulling clear of the rest. Bold show likely.
Thrice-raced maiden. 300/1, sixth of 7 in maiden at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) 37 days ago. Significantly up in trip for handicap debut. Outsider.

Calibos (5/2), Glitter Code (5/2), Pure Theory (6/1), Good Shot (13/2), Honour Whim (8/1), D Day Major Winter (16/1), Pistrucci (16/1), Havana Tobouggaloo (18/1), Letsbeatsepsis (25/1), Olivia Jane (40/1), Miraflores (150/1)
Although GOOD SHOT looked a bit awkward under pressure at Lingfield it was still a good start to her handicap career and Andrew Balding's filly is preferred to Calibos, another who hasn't always looked to be applying himself fully but is well capable off his mark. Pure Theory is next on the list.
