Enjoyed a phenomenal 2024, winning 7 times, 5 of those victories coming at Hamilton. Smashing second in Symphony Handicap over 6f here in August before signing off with an excellent fifth in Ayr Gold Cup on final outing. Possible this first start for 10 months will bring him on, however.

5-y-o who is better than ever right now, bringing up a quick-fire hat-trick in 17-runner handicap at Ascot (5f, firm) 14 days ago. Had plenty in his favour then but hard to rule out another bold bid in present groove, with the return to 6f holding no fears.

Losing run stretches back to 2023 but running consistently well of late, typically doing himself no favours at the start when staying on well for eighth of 28 in Wokingham handicap at Royal Ascot (6f) 5 weeks ago. Capable of playing a part from this mark but he does need things to drop just right.

Progressive in Blinkers last season, winning Series Final at Windsor prior to posting a career best display to follow up in C&D handicap in August. Stepped forward with each outing so far this term, second of 7 in handicap at Windsor (6f) 26 days ago. Claims with cheekpieces/tongue tie fitted.

Low-mileage colt who quickly reached a useful level last year, winning 2 of his 5 starts. Found test inadequate when midfield in 22-runner handicap here (5.4f) on final outing but back on track after 10 months off when just touched off at Newcastle (6f) 28 days ago and likely there's more to come.

Bagged back-to-back 6f handicaps at Newmarket and Pontefract (both on heavy) during the autumn. Effective on better ground, too, but she failed to come on for her reappearance in listed company when trailing in last of 13 back in a handicap at Southwell last time.

Useful juvenile who landed Group 3 Acomb here in 2023. Didn't kick on thereafter for Eve Johnson Houghton but back on track from steadily easing mark in recent months, fourth of 7 in handicap at Windsor (6f) 26 days ago. Strong pace to aim at will help back from a wind op.

Boasts a very good record on ground softer than good, completing hat-trick at Goodwood (6f) last August prior to a solid fifth in Coral Sprint Trophy over C&D final start. Holding form well in defeat this time around but he probably wouldn't want ground to dry out too much.

Landed a big pot for second time over C&D last autumn and not fared at all badly in 6 starts so far this season, catching eye with his mid-race move when fifth in Scottish Stewards' Cup at Hamilton (6f) 8 days ago. Down to last winning mark and he's one to keep an eye on.

Largely progressive in a light 2024 campaign (course winner) and fared much better than he had in Bahrain over the winter (gelded/had wind op in interim) when third behind Alzahir from a less-than-ideal position at Chester (6f) 4 weeks ago. That marked him down as one to be interested in again.

C&D winner last May who posted easily his best effort since having slipped in weights when winning 8-runner handicap at Pontefract (6f) 18 days ago, making all. Overall record is a patchy one though, so whether he can back that up is open to question.

Speedy juvenile who landed maiden/listed contests and also runner-up in Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar (6f) in the autumn. Feasible to think first start for 7 months was needed when last of 8 in Surrey Stakes at Epsom (7f, listed) in June but present mark looks to demand more. Cheekpieces back on.

Won the Super Sprint at Newbury last summer. Showed he's trained on when sixth of 10 in 6f listed race there on reappearance and this rates much more suitable than his subsequent Jersey Stakes assignment at Royal Ascot (7f) 5 weeks back. Handicap debut.

Bled on return/yard debut but firmly back on track when second at Haydock in May and patently shaped better than bare result when ninth of 13 in handicap at Newcastle (6f) 28 days ago. Interesting having eased 1 lb ahead of this provided high draw doesn't prove disadvantageous.

Didn't shape at all badly on first 2 starts back this year prior to decisively resuming winning ways over C&D in May. Respectable fourth-place finishes both starts since, latterly when 2¾ lengths fourth of 8 to Aleezdancer in handicap at Pontefract (6f) 18 days ago. Each-way claims.

Winless since his debut at Ayr for Kevin Ryan 12 months ago but shaped better than on stable debut when eighth of 24 in Palace of Holyroodhouse Handicap at Royal Ascot (5f) 5 weeks ago. Seemed to find that trip on the sharp side, so return to 6f looks a good move now.

Capitalised on a sliding mark to end losing run at Wolverhampton (5.1f) in December. Switched yards/gelded thereafter but yet to scale same heights in 2 starts for present stable. This looks considerably tougher again.

Fairly useful for John & Thady Gosden but left that yard for 50,000 gns earlier this season. Ran better than on stable debut when midfield in a 6f Thirsk handicap 3 weeks ago but never figured when fourteenth of 15 in handicap at this course (7f) 15 days ago. Others preferred.

Losing run stretches back to last summer but in good heart this term, not beaten at all far when seventh of 18 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 6/1) 14 days ago. This tougher up in class from out of the weights but no forlorn hope for each-way purposes.

Verdict

Following an underwhelming spell in Bahrain over the winter, course winner JUBILEE WALK shaped much more encouragingly on return from a break when finishing third from a less-than-ideal position at Chester 28 days ago. He may well come forward for that and James Ferguson's low-mileage 4-y-o could well be the way to go. Elmonjed and Pocklington are fellow 4-y-os who arrive in form and command respect. Strike Red and Arctic Thunder are just a couple of others worth a look.
