Showed fair form with two seconds in handicaps on heavy ground last autumn but went backwards from her reappearance/stable debut effort when ninth of 11 in handicap at Goodwood (7f) in June. Appeals as the sort to bounce back.

Showed promise in maidens at 2 yrs but yet to kick on this season, finishing ninth of 14 in handicap at Newbury (40/1) 13 days ago, never threatening to land a blow. Eased further in the weights ahead of this which can only help.

Returned to form in first-time cheekpieces when second of 8 in handicap at Doncaster (6f) in May but not replicated that in 2 runs since, blinkered for 1st time when seventh of 11 in handicap at Newbury (6f) 29 days ago. Headgear discarded ahead of this but he does need to get back on track.

In good form this season with wins at 5f and 7f. Fifth of 8 in handicap at Brighton over 7f (11/4) 15 days ago, running no more than respectably against older horses for the first time, ridden wide and couldn't quicken. Revised mark demands that little bit more but respected nevertheless.

Lightly-raced filly who wasn't disgraced when fourth of 6 in handicap at Kempton (7f) when last seen in February. Yet, she will need to improve on previous turf form to be competitive here.

Successful 3 times in handicaps since the turn of the year, latterly from a 4 lb lower mark at Salisbury (6f) in May. Shaped as if still in good form both starts since, finishing 4th of 6 at Wetherby (3/1) 34 days ago when one-paced after hanging left. Current mark possibly about right, however.

Inconsistent performer who has yet to win in 11 starts but ran best race of present campaign when fourth in Newcastle handicap in June. Ninth of 10 in 7f handicap at Yarmouth (40/1) 14 days ago, steadied at start and never landed a blow. First-time visor may help over this shorter trip.

Lightly-raced maiden who wasn't seen to best effect on the back of 8 months off when seventh of 11 in 6f handicap at Redcar (25/1) 32 days ago, short of room under 2f out and not quicken. This promises to reveal more.

Has been running consistently well in handicaps, again finding only one too good in 7 in 7f contest here 6 days ago, staying on having conceded first run to a completely unexposed sort. Won't be long in opening her account on that evidence and she rates a lead player here.

Forecasts

Toota (9/4), Moby Quick (5/2), Royal Accord (13/2), Rumba Bay (7/1), Mapledurham (7/1), My Mate Beattie (16/1), Emporess (22/1), Cristalino (22/1), Melissa Honey (25/1), Wild Embers (40/1)

Verdict

TOOTA has been knocking on the door with three seconds in her last four starts and could be ready to strike dropped back in trip. Royal Accord has proven versatile with wins at both 5f and 7f this season and ought to give it another good go. Emporess also appeals as the type to bounce back from a rare below-par display at Goodwood last time.
