Rory Rocket²⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: T P Queally| T: G & J Moore| OR: 70| BF

10/1

Fair form in finishing runner-up all 3 starts to date, off 8 months/gelded prior to his latest run in 6-runner novice at Lingfield (6f) 4 weeks ago. Those are solid foundations with a view to going handicapping and feasible to think he could do better still at this trip.

Form: 22-2

Sub Thirteen²⁵⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: William Carson| T: A W Carroll| OR: 65| D

18/1

3-time winner at up to 6f during first half of last year who ended last term with a below par sixth of 8 in handicap at Bath (5.7f, soft) in October. Resumes following an 8-month layoff operating from last winning mark though, so interesting if strong in the betting.

Saffredi^p⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-4| J: Edward Greatrex| T: G Harris| OR: 61| D

15/8

Winner at Wolverhampton in October who picked up where she left off after 6 months off when following up at that venue in April. Continued good work on turf in recent weeks, third of 14 in handicap at Newbury (6f, firm) 7 days ago. Expected to be bang there again in this groove.

Form: 375533

Forecasts

Saffredi (15/8), Papabella (5/2), Em Four (4/1), Connie's Rose (15/2), Rory Rocket (10/1), Sub Thirteen (18/1)

No shortage of chances in this sprint with SAFFREDI narrowly selected to come out on top. Having eased a little in the weights, he ran well when finishing a close-up third at Newbury (6f) 7 days ago and a repeat should see him firmly in the mix again. Rory Rocket on handicap debut at Papabella are just a couple of potential threats.
