4-y-o who was successful on 3 of his 6 starts last season. Has yet to scale same heights in 3 starts this time around but excuses on account of the draw when seventh of 8 in handicap at Chester (5.1f) 20 days ago but gelded since and this further ease in class can help.
Won on return at Doncaster in 2023 but essentially lightly raced since and again some way below best following a stable switch/6 months off when last of 13 in handicap at York (5f, firm, 14/1) 34 days ago. Drop in class is a plus at least if he can step forward from that run.
C&D winner who not for the first time this term shaped a bit better than bare result when fifth of 11 in handicap at Sandown (5f, good) 21 days ago, not clear run. Back to a potentially lenient mark.
Successful twice last season, latterly from 5 lb higher mark in this race 12 months ago. Been plying his trade at higher level so far this term, meeting with trouble when twelfth of 14 in handicap at Doncaster (5f) 27 days ago. Bold showing could be on the cards back down in grade.
Fairly useful form as a 2-y-o for Karl Burke who hasn't yet figured in pair of 5f handicaps upon joining new yard this season. Assessor has eased his grip a little more ahead of this but would probably need to see confidence behind her in the betting before becoming of interest.
C&D winner made a winning return from 8 months off in 6-runner handicap at Ayr (5f, good to firm, 11/2) 44 days ago, edging out a couple boasting solid profiles in the process. Nudged up just 2 lb on the back of that so not ruled out having gone well on both previous visits here.
Latest win at Ripon in April and she comes here having run just about her best race yet when second of 6 in handicap back at that venue (6f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Should remain competitive and she's still unexposed at the minimum trip.
Prolific winner in 2023/2024, with 3 of her victories coming over this C&D. Hasn't shaped at all badly in 3 starts so far this term, fourth of 7 in handicap at Ayr (5f) 13 days ago and a return to this venue a plus from easing mark.

Forecasts
Good Earth (10/3), Ventura Express (7/2), Emeralds Pride (9/2), Le Beau Garcon (9/2), Bond Chairman (8/1), Law Of Average (9/1), Ziggy's Ariel (10/1), Storm Call (50/1)
Last year's winner VENTURA EXPRESS wasn't seen to anything like best effect in a stronger handicap than this at Doncaster 4 weeks ago and, lurking on a very handy mark, he could well be worth siding with to bounce back for an in-form stable. Good Earth is another who has been given a chance by the assessor and feared. Ayr scorer Le Beau Garcon and Ziggy's Ariel complete the shortlist.
