Just about better than ever returned to turf when winning over C&D in May. 15/2, seventh of 9 in handicap at Ripon (6f, good to firm) 13 days ago, not ideally placed as the race unfolded. This represents a drop in class.
Three-time C&D winner and found only one too good over 5f here in May. 28/1, thirteenth of 16 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good) 32 days ago, failing to travel with any purpose.
Added to excellent Newcastle record with a success in March. 6/1, eighth of 9 in handicap at Ripon (6f, good to firm) 13 days ago, slowly away and never a factor. This is a lesser band of handicap.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2023. First run since leaving John & Thady Gosden for 50,00 gns and didn't show enough when eighth of 11 in handicap (25/1) at Epsom (6f, soft) 25 days ago to seriously consider him. Blinkers removed.
Capitalised on the drop in grade when making a winning return from 6 months off at Ripon in April. 28/1, found out in a better race when last of 16 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good) 32 days ago.
Sole win came in Ireland but plenty of solid placed efforts for this yard. Sound effort on reappearance when fourth of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 26 days ago and usual cheekpieces back on.
Started this year in fine fettle, bagging 4 handicaps on the bounce between February and April. Went through a little quiet patch but back on the up with a bang when making all at York 3 weeks ago. 3 lb rise shouldn't prevent bold follow-up bid.
C&D winner last summer and sent off 40/1, he stepped up markedly on his reappearance when ½-length fourth of 19 to Kats Bob in handicap at York (6f, good to firm) 18 days ago, doing really well given his track position. Major player up just 1 lb.
Back-to-back 5f winner during the spring. 12/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to soft) 17 days ago, though he was denied a clear run. Back up in trip minus headgear.
Last of 9 in handicap (17/2) at Ripon (6f, good to firm) 13 days ago. That was disappointing on the back of a promising reappearance and cheekpieces now reached for.
Three wins from 5 runs this year, latest of them at Ripon in May. Below form 5½ lengths eleventh of 19 to Kats Bob in handicap at York (6f, good to firm, 14/1) 18 days ago, though he wasn't seen to best effect.
Respectable sixth of 12 in handicap (14/1) at Hamilton (5f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Eased further 2 lb so he now lurks on a dangerous mark.
Just her fifth career run and she was better than ever when winning 13-runner handicap at York (6f, good to firm) 19 days ago, just holding on. Should have more to offer as a 3-y-o on the up.

Forecasts
Easy Peeler (7/2), Mythical Phoenix (9/2), Roberto Caro (11/2), Pals Battalion (7/1), Kats Bob (15/2), Tinto (11/1), Manila Scouse (12/1), Secret Guest (12/1), Mister Sox (12/1), Irish Nectar (28/1), Orne (33/1), Reigning Profit (33/1), Dakota Gold (33/1)
ROBERTO CARO finished behind Kats Bob in a blanket finish at York but he did really well to get as close as he did from a poor draw so is strongly fancied to reverse that form. A bigger threat may emerge in the shape of upwardly-mobile 3-y-o Easy Peeler.
- Roberto Caro11/2
- Easy Peeler7/2
- Kats Bob15/2
