Pearl Secret colt who was successful on 3 of his 6 starts last season. Overfaced in Group 2 Temple Stakes on reappearance last month and having faced competition for the lead, he ran poorly when last of 10 in handicap at Windsor (5.1f) 5 days ago. Needs to bounce back.
3-time winner last year and returned in excellent heart, building on his Musselburgh second in April when running out a clear-cut winner at Carlisle (5f, soft) 16 days ago. 7 lb rise for that doesn't look insurmountable and any further easing of the ground will aid his cause. Player.
Dual 5f winner on AW/turf for Roger Varian who never figured initially for new yard but mark eased and better signs on 2 of his last 3 starts, finding her stamina ebbing away late when seventh of 9 in handicap at Doncaster (6f) 8 days ago. This more suitable.
Had a productive 2024, winning 3 times and returned from 6 months off with a good third of 10 in handicap at Pontefract (5f) in April. Had excuses when down the field in pair of class 2 handicaps since and this drop in class can see him in a better light having been given a chance by the assessor.
Sole success in handicaps came from a 1 lb lower mark over C&D last summer. Has yet to peak in 2 starts upon returning this year but he's entitled to find this less demanding than his C&D assignment 37 days ago and handy draw to work from on this occasion.
Successful 3 times during a busy AW campaign this year and continued good work back on turf, runner-up in a C&D handicap prior to in-the-frame efforts on last 2 starts. Has the plum draw to operate from on this occasion, so fancied to be bang there again.
4-time C&D winner who is a grand servant to connections' and he arrives here in great nick, gaining compensation for his narrow Ayr defeat5 when bagging 5-runner handicap at Pontefract on Monday. Well berthed in stall 4 and he escapes a penalty for that success. Respected.
C&D winner who ran his best race of last year when a close-up third at Redcar (5f) in October. No more than respectable efforts in 2 starts thereafter last autumn and possible this first start for 7 months will bring him on.

Copper Knight (5/2), Moonstone Boy (5/2), Rosenpur (4/1), Balon D'or (9/2), Cinque Verde (6/1), Frank The Spark (10/1), Nazron (11/1), South Parade (14/1), Seantrabh (18/1), Night On Earth (20/1), Vince L'Amour (22/1), Fuji Mountain (33/1), Law Of Average (40/1)
MOONSTONE BOY has returned better than ever, confirming his Musselburgh reappearance promise when running out a convincing winner at Carlisle 16 days ago. A 7 lb rise for that success looks fair and he rates a big player again from stall 2. Last year's winner Copper Knight resumed winning ways at Pontefract on Monday and he's a danger from a handy berth. Rosenpur completes the shortlist.
