Kingman filly wo was 2-2 in maiden/novice company and made a better fist of things on second try at this level with a hood refitted when sixth of 16 at Deauville (7.5f) back in December. Headgear discarded on return to action and she rates an each-way player.

Fairly useful filly. Eleven runs since last win in 2024. 8½ lengths seventh of 8 to Vera's Secret in Cornelscourt Stakes (125/1) at Leopardstown (7.2f, good) 27 days ago, left poorly placed. Return to this level can help but work to do if she's to feature in any case.

Useful filly who landed a brace of listed contests last year (including this race).Improved again in Group company thereafter and she comes here following a good neck second in Lingfield Group 3 (7f) 4 weeks ago. Well worthy of consideration from a handy draw in stall 2.

Doubled career tally in 1m Goodwood handicap last May and placed on 3 of her next 4 starts. Improved after 6 months off when good head second in listed company at Longchamp (7f) 6 weeks ago and respected for a yard who have been in great form.

Lope De Vega filly who went the right way last term, landing a Chester handicap (6f) on return and best effort yet when third in listed compant at Longchamp (1m) in September. Record when fresh stands at 2-2 and highy likely there's more to come now kicking off her 4-y-o campaign.

Daughter of Dark Angel who left her debut form well behind when bagging 5-runner maiden at Ayr (6f, good) in spring of last year. May not have all been plain sailing to be absent since and whilst she's open to improvement, this demands a good deal more.

Useful filly who landed a Faoryhouse maiden (6f) this time last year and acquitted herself thereafter, fourth in Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on final start. Not seen to best effect on reappearance in Grp. 3 at Leopardstown (7.2f) 4 weeks ago and likely to be much closer to form here.

Shock winner of the Hilary Needler at Beverley on debut last June. Largely acquitted herself well subsequently, unlucky not to finish closer when fourth of 14 in handicap (25/1) at York (7f, good) 24 days ago, finishing with running left. A repeat gives her each-way claims back at listed level.

Dual novice winner over 6f last summer. Also second in French Group 3 in July but came up short at Group level in Britain on her final 2 starts. Return to 7f promises to suit on return but she does need to find some progress if she's to land this.

Forecasts

Jabaara (5/6), Stop The Cavalry (4/1), Fiery Lucy (9/2), Queen's Reign (9/1), Arolla (12/1), Rajindri (14/1), Perfect Part (22/1), Thelma's Angel (66/1), Royalty Bay (80/1), Elinor Dashwood (150/1)

Verdict

STOP THE CAVALRY improved steadily in a light 2024 campaign, signing off with a very good third in a French listed race in September. She's been absent since but her record when fresh is a definite plus ahead of this and she looks a big player with further progress distinctly possible as a 4-y-o. That said, last year's winner Jabaara has looked as good as ever this term and she's a big danger along with Irish raider Fiery Lucy. Queen's Reign is respected also for the in-form Ed Walker yard.
