Successful on debut at Epsom last summer prior to finishing fourth in a 5-runner Group 3 in France on second and final start of 2-y-o campaign. Has found improvement on two starts this season, latest when far from disgraced in a warm race at Sandown (10f) 36 days ago but will need to improve again.
Ran in a couple of strong all-weather races at 2 yrs and showed marked improvement on reappearance/first turf start when landing a 1m Windsor maiden, travelled well and won easily. Looks a useful prospect and should be open to further progress on handicap debut.
Successful in a Chelmsford novice and nursery at Newmarket at 2 yrs (both 7f). Excuses on reappearance before returning to form when runner-up at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) last month, although off bridle long way out under more patient tactics. Needs to improve in a stronger race.
Stepped up on 2-y-o exploits when justifying favouritism on return in a 1m Windsor maiden (good to firm) last month, proving a length too strong for subsequent winner Herculeus. More will be needed now handicapping but he remains unexposed.
Left his qualifying form well behind when winning 8-runner handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm). Progressed again in defeat when runner-up over the same trip at Goodwood earlier this month having made the running. Lightly-raced sort should continue to give a good account.
Backed up his soft ground Chester maiden success with two creditable efforts, runner-up on handicap debut at Haydock prior to landing a 7-runner nursery at Goodwood (7f, heavy) last October. Now tackles a mile but more needed up in grade back on a sounder surface.
Promising third of 9 in handicap at Newmarket (7f, good) on reappearance and improved to get off the mark winning a 7f handicap at this course 9 days ago, doing best work late. 2 lb rise looks more than fair and he remains open to improvement now stepped up to a mile.
Fair effort on final qualifying run following 8 months off (gelded in the interim), finishing fifth in a Newmarket maiden that has produced subsequent winners. Could be a potential improver over the extra furlong on handicap debut.
Successful in maiden at Bath (5.7f) on second start last summer but hit and miss in nurseries thereafter. Shaped as if needing the outing when well held on return at Windsor (6f) earlier this month. Stays 7f and should be competitive if getting seeing out this longer trip.

Given his all-weather juvenile form, it was no surprise to see AL SHABABI improve to get off the mark with ease on turf debut at Windsor last month. He can carry on that progression into handicaps and is taken come out on top ahead of recent course winner Organ, who may still be on a fair mark, with the step up to 1m expected to suit. Sea Founder and Criminal Shore are just a couple of others to consider.
