Eleven runs since last win in 2024. Tongue strap on for first time, eighth of 13 in handicap (11/1) at Catterick (7f, good to firm) 12 days ago, missing break. Back up in trip and needs to cut out the tardy starts.

Remains a maiden and isn't an easy ride but ran well when second of 8 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 5/2) 19 days ago given he was slowly away.

Improved on recent efforts to win 9-runner handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm, 7/1) 10 days ago, overcoming positional bias in the process. 3 lb rise may not prevent the follow up.

Forecasts

Light Up Our Stars (15/8), Thats My Boy Luke (10/3), Triple Force (7/2), Union Island (5/1), Berkshire Phantom (7/1), Crownthorpe (22/1)

Verdict

LIGHT UP OUR STARS was the only one to make inroads from off the pace when landing a Yarmouth handicap 10 days ago and on that evidence, he looks up to going in again. Triple Force and Thats My Boy Luke finished second and third over C&D recently and look the main threats.

  1. Light Up Our Stars15/8
  2. Triple Force7/2
  3. Thats My Boy Luke10/3
