Scored second time up last year but ended the campaign a beaten favourite the last twice, latest when eighth of 9 at Catterick (5f, good to soft, 10/3) in September. Returns just 1 lb above his last winning mark but the suggestion is that he may need this outing.

Grand servant to connections, gaining fourth 5f win at Chester last June. 9/1, creditable fourth of 12 at same track (5.1f, good to soft) just under a fortnight ago and clearly retains plenty of enthusiasm despite advancing years. Has to be considered back from his "proper" mark.
C&D winner. Five wins from 16 Flat runs. Good third of 12 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, good, 12/1) 32 days ago, keeping on after not clear run over 1f out. Can give another good account from an unchanged mark (won 3 times here last year).
7/1, resumed winning ways having a rare outing on turf in 6-runner handicap at this C&D (good) just under 3 weeks ago, having run of race. 3 lb higher but that shouldn't prevent another bold bid from the front.
Tricky customer. 4-time course winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2024. 33/1, fared no better than on return when eleventh of 12 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, good) 32 days ago. Now 2 lb below last winning mark but needs to show more.
3 wins from 8 runs this year, latest at Newcastle in March. 20/1, fourth of 10 in handicap at same course (6f) 53 days ago, making his bid more towards the centre of the track than the trio ahead of him. Yet to win on turf however, so others more persuasive from a win angle.

Forecasts
Eternal Sunshine (6/5), Copper Knight (9/4), Le Beau Garcon (11/2), Classy Al (10/1), Nelson Gay (12/1), Pockley (50/1)
Veteran COPPER KNIGHT clearly retains plenty of enthusiasm despite his advancing years so Tim Easterby's charge gets the nod to come out on top at the expense of Eternal Sunshine, who ran a cracker when finishing a close third at Musselburgh last month and arrives here with her mark unchanged. Nelson Gay looks best of the remainder.
