Shock winner of the Hilary Needler at Beverley on debut last June. Largely acquitted herself well thereafter but went backwards from her reappearance fourth in Cammidge Trophy at Doncaster (6f) when last of 7 in conditions stakes at Chelmsford (6f) 26 days ago. Makes handicap debut now.
Won maiden on debut at Hamilton 12 months ago and career-best effort when third in Rockingham Stakes here (6f) on final start in October. Off 7 months, possibly needed the run starting out for new yard when ninth of 12 in handicap at Newmarket (6f) 11 days ago but mark demands more in any case.
Confirmed debut promise when scoring with plenty to spare at Goodwood (6f) 12 months ago and further progress back from 11 months when defying a penalty in 12-runner novice at Wolverhampton (7f) 25 days ago, just holding on. Feasible to think there could be more to come now handicapping.
Dark Angel colt who boasts a positive profile, confirming debut promise when winning 10-runner novice at Kempton (7f) in December. Solid display back from 4 months off when head third behind Red Sand at Wolverhampton 25 days ago and respected now handicapping back on turf.
Won at second time of asking at Kempton in October and stepped up a little on his reappearance when fourth of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (6f) 4 weeks ago, the only one to make an impact from off the pace. Has an even bigger effort in his locker on that evidence and shortlisted on first crack at 7f.
Back-to-back winner at up to 6f last summer and signed off last campaign with a good third in nursery at Newcastle in October. However, off 6 months/gelded didn't give his running when eighth of 9 in handicap at Pontefract (6f, good) 36 days ago. Needs to leave that well behind.
Had a few subsequent winners behind him when making it third time lucky in a Wolverhampton novice (7f) in December. Definite encouragement to glean from 2 starts this spring, good fourth of 8 in handicap at Newmarket (1m, good) 12 days ago, and he appeals for each-way purposes.
Improved in line with the increase in trip when off the mark at third attempt in 9-runner novice at Ayr (7.2f) in September. Never threatened when sixth on nursery debut at Doncaster (7f, heavy) a month later but he appeals as the type to improve as a 3-y-o.
Consistent in defeat in nurseries last summer and he improved considerably having been gelded when making a winning return in 12-runner handicap at Windsor (6f, good) 9 days ago. This tougher under a penalty but manner of that success entitles him to plenty of respect.
Gelded/first run since leaving Seb Spencer when good winner of 7-runner handicap at Catterick (6f) in April and, despite not looking at home on the track, improved further when just touched off at Ripon (6f) 4 weeks ago. Return to 7f will hold no fears and he's respected with cheekpieces now fitted.
Made it third time lucky in maidens at Newcastle (6f) in November and left his opening 2 efforts this spring well behind when finishing a very good second of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) 4 days ago. This tougher but unlikely we've seen the best of him yet on turf.
Much improved in handicaps since the turn of the year, winning 4 times on AW. Continued good work back on turf in recent weeks, resuming winning ways at Doncaster (7f) and posted best effort yet when neck second at Beverley (7.4f) 9 days ago. Looks sure to give another good account.
Improved model this spring, putting his experience to good use when winning 8-runner novice (10/3) at Redcar (7f, good to firm) 13 days ago, responding well when headed. Yard continue amongst the winners now handicapping but this does demand more.
Fair filly who found her form tailing off during second half of last season yet having attracted support, she bounced back after 6 months off when making all in 8-runner novice at Pontefract (6f) 4 weeks ago. However, work to do returned to handicaps from out of the weights.

GALLANT stepped up a little on his reappearance and was better than the bare result as the only one to make an impact from off the pace when fourth in a Newmarket handicap (6f) 4 weeks ago. Appealing as the type to go on improving and completely unexposed at this trip, he earns the vote to come out on top. Jolly Roger, Red Sand and Rare Change all have reasons to recommend them and head up the dangers.
