Quirky sort who can start slowly but he arrives in search of a hat-trick following a pair of 10f wins at Lingfield and Chelmsford under this rider. His reluctance to break on terms makes him a risky betting proposition but he's in top form at present.

Some creditable placed efforts on the turf over longer trips last year and was last seen over hurdles winning an 11-runner handicap hurdle (4/1) at Worcester (20f, good) 8 months ago. Not ruled out if in the same sort of form back on the Level.

10f winner at Lingfield in January but out of sorts since, cheekpieces on for first time, last of 11 in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW) 42 days ago. Now tried in a visor. Others preferred.

Maiden was well-held on last Flat outing at this venue in August 2023. Last seen finishing creditable fourth of 15 in handicap hurdle at Exeter (16.7f, good) 19 months ago. Market may guide expectations on his return to the Level.

Stepped up on first run for this yard when 11/1, creditable 4¼ lengths fourth of 11 to Beauld As Brass in handicap at Lingfield (10f, AW) 12 days ago. Nearly a stone better off with that rival here. One to consider.
|
3-time C&D winner ran a respectable race at Kempton on last Flat outing in January. Below form fourth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Taunton (16.5f, good) 12 days ago. He's now a 1 lb below his last winning mark but remains to be seen whether he can snap a long losing run.

Forecasts
Beauld As Brass (1/1), Cathedral Peak (9/2), My Chiquita (5/1), Ellexis (8/1), Galactic Glow (10/1), Marley Head (18/1)
Hat-trick seeking BEAULD AS BRASS arrives in top form and looks up to defying a penalty, though he remains a risky betting proposition given his tendency to start slowly. Next best is Cathedral Peak who stepped forward from her stable debut when fourth behind the selection at Lingfield 12 days ago and is now better off at the weights, while My Chiquita may do best of the rest on her return to action.
