Tongue strap on for 1st time and left poorly placed when last of 10 in handicap at Kempton (6f, 18/1) 65 days ago. Cheekpieces go back on now and worth a second look back on turf from an appealing mark.
Again paid his way last season with victories in a couple of 6f handicaps around here. Went without cheekpieces (again left off here) and likely needed the run when thirteenth of 19 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good, 50/1) 34 days ago. Entitled to be sharper now.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2024. Creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good to soft, 11/4) 17 days ago, no extra last ½f. Comes here in good heart but expected to face plenty of competition for the lead in this field.
Completed an all-weather hat-trick at Southwell (5f) in January but mark rose considerably as a result and possibly in the grip of the assessor judged on his sixth of 10 in handicap at Newcastle (5f, 11/1) 72 days ago.
Ended last term in good form, fitted with cheekpieces when bagging 6f handicaps at Newmarket and Redcar in the autumn. Ran below best back from 6 months off when sixteenth of 19 in handicap at Doncaster (6f) 34 days ago but no surprise to see him make a better fist of things now.
C&D winner who fared no better than on return when eleventh of 13 in handicap at Southwell (5f, 7/1) 6 days ago, outpaced over 2f out and not unduly punished. However, he's won third time out on each of the last 2 seasons and he comes here operating from a handy mark.
Firmly back on track with the headgear discarded when successful at Musselburgh (5f) on penultimate start, going from the front and proving strong at the finish. Finished a creditable fourth from 5 lb higher mark back there latest and fancied to give another good account.
Twenty one runs since last win in 2022. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, again ran well when second of 9 in handicap (5/1) at Pontefract (5f, good) 3 days ago, no match for winner. Worth considering turned out quickly.
5-time C&D winner, the latest in refitted blinkers back in August. Stepped up on his reappearance effort when sixth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (5f, 33/1) 43 days ago and, with cheekpieces back on, he's not dismissed lightly back here for all his draw may not be ideal.
C&D winner. 12/1, stepped up on his return/stable debut effort when creditable third of 13 in handicap at Southwell (5f) 6 days ago. Latest victory came here from a 2 lb higher mark last summer and he's one to bear in mind.
9/1, off 7 months/first run since leaving Andrew Balding when fourth of 7 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Entitled to be sharper if he can use that as a springboard to build on.
Back-to-back winner of 5 handicaps last June and largely held form well after. Reappearance fifth of 7 in handicap at Nottingham (5f, good) 24 days ago was a pretty low-key display but he's slowly edging back down the weights.
Latest win at Nottingham in October. 18/1, shaped as if needing the run when sixth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Represents a stable in form but worth noting he remains 3 lb above last winning mark.

Forecasts
Lethal Nymph (3/1), Mon Na Slieve (7/2), Hiya Maite (11/2), Alligator Alley (6/1), Archduke Ferdinand (17/2), Sommelier (14/1), Tinto (18/1), Master Of My Fate (18/1), Ready Freddie Go (18/1), Muker (22/1), Equity Law (22/1), Spring Is Sprung (28/1), Albegone (40/1)
Unsurprisingly a whole host in with chances and despite arriving on a long losing run it could pay to side with LETHAL NYMPH. Paul Midgley's 6-y-o has highlighted he's ready to strike in recent weeks, running another solid race when runner-up at Pontefract on Wednesday. He's selected over Sommelier who is an intriguing contender back on turf. Alligator Alley, Muker and Mon Na Slieve are a trio of others fancied to be thereabouts.
- Lethal Nymph3/1
- Sommelier14/1
