Scottish Racing Academy Mares' Handicap Hurdle

Took very well to hurdling in the first half of last season, winning 4 times, and back to that sort of form when second over C&D last summer. Not in same form this season but this looks a good opportunity back down in grade against her own sex. Respected in first-time cheekpieces.

Fairly useful stayer on Flat for Jessica Harrington. Bought for 65,000 gns in December and went 2-3 over hurdles when landing the odds in a 2m1f mares' novice at Cartmel in May. Not in same form in the early months of the jumps season but could be worth another chance following a break.

Opened hurdles account a at Hexham (16.2f) last spring. Has shown some creditable form in handicaps this season and wasn't seen to best effect in a steadily run-race race when fourth of 8 at Musselburgh (19.8f). Still relatively lightly-raced and merits consideration back down in grade.

Modest form when placed on first 2 starts in bumpers and ran to similar level when fourth of 7 in novice at Ayr (16f) on hurdling debut in October. Has gone backwards in 2 starts since, though, pulled up at Carlisle (19.3f, soft) in February. Makes handicap debut with a bit to prove.

Showed much improved form in first-time cheekpieces when scoring decisively on handicap bow at Ayr (2m, soft) in January. She found things tougher in a stronger race next time but bounced straight back to form when runner-up in a 0-100 handicap at Carlisle (17f). Should go well off the same work.

Remains a maiden but has now placed on 6 of her 7 starts since joining her current yard latest when creditable third of 9 in handicap hurdle at Musselburgh (19.8f, good, 7/1) 17 days ago, not helped by a mistake 2 out. Place claims again racing off the same mark.
