Autumn Angel^b⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 9-9| J: Jack Doughty⁽³⁾| T: A W Carroll| OR: 57| BF| CD

9/2

Latest win over C&D in January and essentially remained in good heart since, creditable second of 8 in handicap (15/8) at this C&D 9 days ago, worn down only late on. Fancied to be in the thick of things again returned to class 6 company.

Sisters In The Sky^p¹⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 9-8| J: Rossa Ryan| T: G Harris| OR: 56| CD

9/1

C&D winner. Four wins from 26 runs last year. Latest win here in February. Bit below form sixth of 11 in handicap at this C&D (15/2) 15 days ago, hampered on inner final 1f and not recover. No surprise to see a good showing granted a clear shot at things this time.

Form: 461-516

(8)

Piperstown²⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Billy Loughnane| T: K Frost| OR: 55| BF| CD

9/2

Brought up a quick-fire hat-trick over C&D in February and not disgraced when fourth of 11 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f, 15/8) 25 days ago. This looks a little more demanding but possibilities nevertheless under Billy Loughnane.

Form: 1-61114

(3)

Alshimali⁵¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Marco Ghiani| T: A W Carroll| OR: 55| BF

18/5

Maiden who upped his game when runner-up in handicaps at Lingfield/Southwell in December. Subsequent fifth in 9-runner Kempton handicap (6f) was disappointing 51 days ago but he's certainly not one to be writing off yet for all he could do with settling better.

Form: 05622-5

Ramon Di Loria⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-6| J: Jason Hart| T: Ewan Whillans| OR: 54| C| D

2/1

Course winner who ran well having fallen 6 lb below last winning mark when good second of 8 in handicap at this C&D 9 days ago. One to be interested in on the back of that.

Form: 46-5682

Mehmo^p¹³

Age: 7| Weight: 9-6| J: Paddy Bradley| T: M J Attwater| OR: 54

50/1

Showed more than on stable debut when keeping on for third in 8-runner handicap at Chelmsford (5f) 13 days ago. Down to a handy mark if building on that back at this longer trip.

Form: 48546-3

Vitalline^b²³

Age: 7| Weight: 9-5| J: Josephine Gordon| T: Kieran Burke| OR: 53| D

33/1

Recorded her first success since 2021 at Chelmsford (6f) this time last year. Seen only 4 times subsequently, not disgraced after 9 months off when fifth in 9-runner C&D handicap 23 days ago. Now her task is to build on that effort.

Form: 91950-5

Miss Moonshine¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 9-1| J: Hollie Doyle| T: B R Millman| OR: 49| D

12/1

Right back on song when runner-up over C&D last month but unable to build on that effort when fourth of 11 in minor event at Chelmsford City (6f) 18 days ago. Others appeal more on balance.

Form: 8-74924

(9)

Banana^p,t⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 8-11| J: K T O'Neill| T: S Dixon| OR: 45

33/1

Remains a maiden after 42 Flat runs. Creditable third of 7 in minor event at this C&D (33/1) 9 days ago. More on her plate returned to handicap company.

Forecasts

Ramon Di Loria (2/1), Alshimali (18/5), Piperstown (9/2), Autumn Angel (9/2), Sisters In The Sky (9/1), Shamardia (10/1), Miss Moonshine (12/1), Banana (33/1), Vitalline (33/1), Mehmo (50/1)

Having fallen 6 lb below his last winning mark, RAMON DI LORIA took a big step back in the right direction when runner-up in a C&D handicap 9 days ago, giving best only to one who is proving progressive. He gets the nod to confirm the promise of that effort, with in-form pair Autumn Angel and Sisters In The Sky others holding good claims. Alshimali is another to note, particularly if settling better.
