1/12

Useful bumper winner who changed hands for £660,000 before scoring impressively on his hurdling debut at Newbury in November. Advanced his form when fourth in the Challow there next time and ran to a similar level when second in Exeter listed event latest. Sets a high standard.

The Sainted Canary^t¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: Lorcan Williams| T: J Scott| C

7/1

Fair bumper performer who improved to justify short odds second time up over hurdles in 14-runner maiden here (15.2f, soft) 19 days ago, responding well. More to come over this longer trip but lowering the colours of Regent's Stroll won't be easy.

Form: 4-2451

Kantagua Du Large^t⁴⁵

Showed fairly useful form when winning a 4-y-o chase (in cheekpieces) in France, but offered little reverted to hurdles for her British debut after 11 months off at Warwick in January. Needs to leave that well behind.

Forecasts

Regent's Stroll (1/12), The Sainted Canary (7/1), The Italian Fox (20/1), Thankyouandplease (50/1), Kantagua Du Large (66/1), Gorcombe Blueskye (150/1)

REGENT'S STROLL has already shown himself to be a useful novice and can make the most of what looks a gold-plated opportunity. The Sainted Canary should have more to offer now stepping up in trip and is preferred to newcomer The Italian Fox for the forecast spot.
