Jurancon^t⁴⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-9| J: Jack Tudor| T: D Pipe| OR: 127| CD

2/1

Useful bumper scorer who made it 2-4 in this sphere when seeing off 12 rivals in a C&D novice in January. Top weight is unlikely to prevent him making a bold bid on handicap debut.

Form: 21-2121

Lario^t⁴²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Brendan Powell| T: Harry Derham| OR: 125| D

7/2

Winner of his completed start over hurdles for Anthony Charlton last winter and generally positive start for this yard, placing in 2m handicaps on both starts this season.

Form: 1330-32

Sorceleur^t²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 11-4| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 122| D

11/4

Progressive hurdler who landed good-ground novices at Exeter and Wincanton on successive days in November. Has shown he's as effective under testing conditions when runner-up at Taunton (handicap) and back at Exeter (novice) in recent months. Player.

Form: 5-21122

Kel Raffles¹⁶⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 11-3| J: J J Slevin| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 121

12/1

Hurdle/chase winner in France last year. It'll be interesting to see what the betting makes of him on this British debut.

Form: 25-1P

Kap Ouest^h⁷²

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: S Bowen| T: H Fry| OR: 120

11/2

From a decent French NH family and confirmed promise shown in bumper and opening hurdles starts when making it third-time lucky over the smaller obstacles in 9-runner novice at Exeter (17, soft) in December. While his opening handicap mark hardly looks generous he surely has more to offer.

Form: 3-231

Celtic Art^p²¹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Lorcan Williams| T: J Scott| OR: 120| D

14/1

Showed improved form when off the mark for the campaign in 2m Warwick handicap last month. Still looks fairly treated after a 5 lb rise.

Form: 33-8541

Forecasts

Jurancon (2/1), Sorceleur (11/4), Lario (7/2), Kap Ouest (11/2), Kel Raffles (12/1), Celtic Art (14/1), Out Of Office (16/1)

An interesting handicap in which it's tough to rule out any. JURANCON tasted success over C&D in novice company last time and can take the next step up the ladder now handicapping. Sorceleur has already shown he can go well off his mark and is second choice ahead of Kap Ouest, who, like the selection, brings unexposed potential to this handicap debut.
