Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Modest form when third in a pair of bumpers last winter but has looked a different proposition switched to hurdles the last twice, scoring on debut in this sphere at Exeter (18.5f, good to soft) before falling 3 out (travelling well at the time) here in November. Remains open to improvement.

£75,000 half-brother to 3 winners and very promising start to his career when runner-up in a big-field Newbury bumper last spring. Also found just one too good on return/hurdles bow at Warwick prior to landing the odds in a C&D maiden (soft) last month and he's clearly a decent prospect.

Very cheap purchase given his pedigree but there were encouraging signs when sixth of 13 on debut in a 19f Taunton novice (soft) earlier this month. Entitled to come on for that run and should do better in time.

Irish point winner who has shown ability in a couple of 21.6f novice events at Ascot since switched to hurdles. Dropping in trip looks a good move but he appeals as the type who will be seen in a better light when making his way down the handicap route.

Closely related to useful hurdler Harry Senior but hasn't shown much in a bumper/maiden hurdle so far and he's another who will be of greater interest when handicapping in due course.

Plenty of promise in bumpers last season, scoring on debut at Chepstow before finishing third in a good-quality contest at Newbury. Left inauspicious hurdles bow (shaped as though amiss) behind when fourth of 11 back at Newbury (16.3f, good to soft) last month and should make his presence felt.

Dual winner of 1½m AW handicaps on the Flat for Charlie Fellowes last winter but there were very few positives to glean from his hurdles debut at Taunton.
