Winner of a Ludlow maiden hurdle last February and best effort since when finding just one too strong in a handicap at Market Rasen (18.6f, good to soft) on Boxing Day. Bang there when falling at the last on sole start in points and he's of strong interest now switched to fences.

Gained reward for consistency over hurdles when opening his account in handicap at Taunton (19f, good) last spring. However, he has failed to make an impact in 2 starts in this sphere to date and it's best to look elsewhere.

Showed ability without managing to get his head in front over hurdles and delivered at the first time of asking in this sphere when recently accounting for 5 rivals in a Hereford handicap (21f, good to soft). 5 lb rise no great hardship and he should have more to offer as a chaser.

Hurdles winner at Hereford last spring and firmly back on track when making it third time lucky over fences at Fontwell (21.6f, soft) in December. 6 lb higher mark to contend with and this a stronger race but still has low mileage and should make his presence felt.

Three-time hurdle winner who added to her good record on testing ground when making a successful chase debut over 17.5f at Exeter earlier this month. This 4 lb higher mark doesn't look insurmountable and she needs considering, for all that this is a tougher assignment.

Bumper winner who bettered hurdles exploits at first attempt in this sphere when second in handicap chase here in December 2023. Failed to build on that next 2 completed starts but improved when opening account over fences at Market Rasen (19.2f, good) during the autumn and 5 lb rise very fair.

He's the only one of these without experience over fences but DIAMOND DICE has the look of a chaser and may well prove equal to the task, granted a clean round of jumping. The prospect of testing conditions is a plus for the 6-y-o (hurdles win was on heavy ground) and his latest effort in a Market Rasen handicap hurdle was arguably his best yet. Four of his five rivals are last-time-out winners, namely Captain Boudet, Filanderer, Shillanavogy and Passing Kate, and they all merit respect.
