Built on debut promise when winning 11-runner maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f, 85/40) 33 days ago, leading over 1f out. He still showed some greenness along the way so may do better still.

Tongue strap on, showed ability from a poor draw when third of 12 in novice (3/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) on debut just over 3 weeks ago. Should last longer this time so one to keep an eye on.

Shaped as if needing run when eighth of 11 in novice (well-backed 11/4) at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on debut 5 months ago. Bit disconcerting he's not been seen since but should do better nevertheless (has been gelded).

Forecasts

Humam (1/1), Panelli (3/1), Backspin (4/1), Well Enough (11/1), Cluster One (12/1), Marianne Mozart (40/1)

Verdict

HUMAM took a step forward from his debut when finishing runner-up at Doncaster 10 weeks ago and with better still to come, Andrew Balding's colt can go one better at the expense of Backspin, who showed much improved form despite still looking very much a work in progress at Southwell last month and he's bred to be suited by further than sprint trips. The once-raced Cluster One and Panelli can fight out third.
