Useful gelding who has often been highly tried and he found only a promising 3-y-o too good in 10-runner maiden here (7f) 5 weeks ago. Cheekpieces worn then are retained here and he sets the standard. Obvious claims.

Cracksman gelding who has offered little both starts to date, tenth of 14 in novice (200/1) at Windsor (8.1f, good) 17 days ago. Makes little appeal this side of handicaps.

More Than Ready colt. Offered something to work on when seventh of 12 in maiden at Newcastle (7.1f, 25/1) on debut 16 days ago, not knocked about. Open to improvement but another likely type for handicaps later on.

Sales price decreased appreciably earlier this year and he offered little when tenth of 12 in maiden (14/1) at Southwell (6.1f) on debut 34 days ago, slowly away and always behind. Best watched.

Ran best race when second of 6 in a Windsor novice (1m) in June. Gelded thereafter and not for the first time looked less than straightforward when sixth of 10 in novice at Newcastle (1m) 23 days ago. Blinkers replace cheekpieces but he needs treating with a degree of caution.

8,000 gns yearling, Barraquero gelding. Offered little in novice/maidens at Lingfield and Chelmsford in recent weeks.

Twice-raced gelding. Showed a bit more than on debut when fourth of 7 in novice (50/1) at Leicester (7f, good to firm) 64 days ago. Hooded for 1st time and he looks the type to be suited by a return to 1m+ moving forward.

Not much to shout about in bumpers/over hurdles and low-key efforts albeit without being unduly punished in pair of starts on the Flat in recent months. Low-grade handicaps will be more her bag.

Promising when third on debut in a Yarmouth maiden (7f) in July but raced freely and not in same form when last of 9 in novice at Kempton (7f) 50 days ago. Type her yard do well with in handicaps.

Twice-raced filly. Fifth of 6 in maiden (125/1) at Brighton (7f, good) 16 days ago, outpaced quickly. Likely to be suited by longer trips in due course.

Awtaad filly. Half-sister to 6f winner Bedtime Bella and 1m winner Mabre. Dam maiden (stayed 7f) half-sister to useful winner up to 1m Markazzi. The market should prove a useful guide.

Sea The Stars filly who is still learning the ropes but took a step forward from her debut when sixth of 9 in maiden at Kempton (8f, 9/1) 27 days ago. In good hands and she's open to further improvement.

Forecasts

Dancing Magic (5/6), Stanage (7/4), Jumeirah Sea (9/2), Bereit (20/1), Abbey Law (33/1), Angel Mac (40/1), Doctor Awtaad (50/1), Saved Lizzie (80/1), Velvet Vortex (80/1), Kranjcar (100/1), Summanus (150/1), Balticus (150/1), Artemesia (150/1)

Verdict

Not a strong maiden in terms of depth but DANCING MAGIC is firmly established as a useful performer and this could be the day he gets off the mark with his promising rider taking off a very handy 3 lb. Stanage has the ability to play a lead role for all he hasn't always looked straightforward and he, along with improving filly Jumeirah Sea, head up the dangers.
