Maiden/novice winner in the spring who has shown useful form in defeat since, including when second of 10 on Newmarket nursery debut (6f, good to firm) 18 days ago. That race has thrown up winners.
Won on 5f debut at Beverley in May and only narrowly denied by Royal Ascot winner Shareholder back there the following month. Has come up short at Group 2 level twice since but could resume his progression with his sights lowered. Leading local stable has won this twice in the last 10 years.
Made successful debut at Southwell in March and got back on the up when good second of 8 in nursery at Haydock (6f, good) in July. Respectable seventh of 16 in a Glorious Goodwood nursery since, nearest finish.
Readily justified market confidence on her Newbury debut (6f, good) in July and stepped up on that bare form when 3 lengths seventh of 8 to Simmering in Princess Margaret at Ascot (6f, good) 23 days later. Likely capable of better and interesting on nursery debut.
Elarqam filly who has won a Nottingham maiden and Pontefract novice (both 6f) in recent months. A very useful effort will be required to maintain her unbeaten record from an opening mark in the 80s but she does look capable of better.
Belatedly confirmed his debut promise when making a successful start to his nursery career in 16-runner event at Glorious Goodwood (good to firm) 19 days ago. A 7 lb rise is unlikely to prevent another prominent showing from him.
Off the mark in a small-field Ffos Las novice in June and made an encouraging start in nurseries when 1½ lengths second of 16 to Artagnan at Glorious Goodwood (6f, good to firm), finishing well. Player.
Fairly useful form, although no excuses when beaten at short odds again at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) 25 days ago. Nursery debut. Cayman Tai looks the stronger of the yard's pair.
Made a winning debut at Wetherby in June. Disappointing at Nottingham next time but back on track when 3 lengths fifth of 16 to Artagnan in Glorious Goodwood nursery 19 days ago, doing his best work late. Respected for a stable no stranger to success in this.
Came good at the fourth time of asking when making all in 5-runner maiden at Brighton (6f, good to soft, 5/6) 12 days ago. Much harder trying to dominate a race like this but his opening mark does look workable.
Left debut form well behind when second of 11 in novice at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) last month but proved a let down at Sandown since. Bounce back needed on nursery debut.
Chepstow maiden winner last month who bettered that form when 2 lengths third of 12 in a 6f Newbury nursery last Friday. This strong traveller should be suited by this big-field scenario.
Fair form but not at best when third of 9 in a 5.7f Bath maiden on Saturday. Not obviously well treated for this nursery debut.
Fair form when third in 5f maidens at Beverley and Ayr last month. Steps back up to 6f for nursery debut with De Sousa a good booking.
Has proved consistent rather than progressive so far, finishing fourth of 5 on 6f Ascot nursery debut last month. Gelded since.
Improved to win a C&D nursery (good to soft) last month. Only fourth of 6 at Newcastle since but don't be surprised were he to bounce back with a bang in first-time cheekpieces under Hollie Doyle.
Profitable colt who has got a bit better with each start. That trend for race-by-race improvement will need to continue if he's to go close from 2 lb out of the weights on nursery debut.

CAYMAN TAI might be able to turn the tables on Goodwood conqueror Artagnan on the revised terms as Karl Burke's charge rather got first run on him on that occasion. Richard Fahey pair Moving Force and Yes I'm Mail, another who contested the 6f Glorious Goodwood nursery, also make the shortlist along with Royal runner Handcuffed.
