4-time C&D winner who has fallen in the weights this year and shaped encouragingly when third of 8 in handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm) in June, caught only by a pair played later. Could be worth siding with returned to this venue/equipped with first-time blinkers.
Unreliable type. Three wins from 61 Flat runs. 6/1, not disgraced when third of 7 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm) 7 days ago. However, losing run stretches back to 2021 and others make stronger appeal.
Twenty six runs since last win in 2022 but he ran well when close-up fifth in 18-runner handicap at York (5f) in July, staying on final 1f. Eyeshields on 1st time, not in same form under change of tactics when seventh at Haydock (5f, firm) 12 days ago, however.
Course winner. Good third of 9 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm, 15/2) 13 days ago, not clear run from 2f out but finishing with running left. Recent efforts have highlighted he's coming to the boil and he needs bearing in mind from reduced mark.
Latest win at Doncaster in July. 13/2, fourth of 7 in handicap at Windsor (5.1f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Little more needed if he's to defy revised mark.
Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 13/2, respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at this C&D (good to firm) 13 days ago. No reason why he won't give another good account.
Back to winning ways at Newmarket (5f) 2 weeks ago and confirmed himself still at the top of his game when third of 10 in handicap at Pontefract (5f, good) 9 days ago, denied a run over 1f out and keeping on. Respected once more.
C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2023. Creditable third of 7 in handicap (3/1) at Beverley (5f, good to firm) 17 days ago, leading briefly final 1f and no extra close home. Eased a little more in the weights but this looks a deeper race.
50/1, fourteenth of 17 in handicap at York (7f, good to firm) 21 days ago, hampered start and not knocked about on the back of 5 months off. Usual cheekpieces refitted now returned to sprinting and lines up here with his yard firmly amongst the winners.

Forecasts
Rock Of England (3/1), Khabib (9/2), Arecibo (11/2), Zarzyni (11/2), Miss Brazen (7/1), Ready Freddie Go (8/1), Dandy Dinmont (12/1), Catch Cunningham (14/1), Kats Bob (28/1)
READY FREDDIE GO produced easily his best effort of the season when third at Redcar back in June, picked off late by a pair played late having been involved in a duel for the lead from the off. A 4-time C&D winner now operating 6 lb below his last winning mark, he could be the answer equipped with first-time blinkers. Rock of England is another shaping up well and he's fancied to pose the chief threat. Catch Cunningham and Khabib rate next best.
