Seen to good advantage as he made all (raced apart from rest) in Group 1 Lockinge at Newbury (1m) on his reappearance. Only fifth in the Queen Anne since. The drop back to 7f is no issue but he'll require a big career best under his Group 1 penalty.
Very talented sprinter on his day, signing off 2023 with success in Group 1 at Ascot. Some creditable efforts in defeat this year, bouncing back quickly from a lesser run at Royal Ascot when 2¼ lengths fourth to Mill Stream in July Cup at Newmarket. Has seemed stretched by 7f on previous attempts.
Fast-improving 4-y-o who was a striking winner of the Buckingham Palace (Handicap) at Royal Ascot (7f, firm), striding 3 lengths clear in the style of one who can make his mark in Group races. Player.
Very smart sort who is running in this for the fourth year in succession, winning it in 2021 and 2023 (close second in 2022). Second in Group 3 Chipchase on AW reappearance and seemed to find 6f on good ground too sharp for him when only eighth in July Cup since. Better can be expected back at 7f.
Low-mileage 6-y-o who has taken his form up a notch this year, seeing off English Oak to win a 7f Newmarket handicap in May before following up in a 7f Group 3 on the July Course there a month ago. This tougher again but still much respected.
Still smart at the age of 8 but seemingly not quite capable nowadays of the sort of form he showed when a close third in this in 2022. 2¼ lengths behind Noble Dynasty when they clashed in a Newmarket Group 3 last time. Others are preferred.
Came down in a nasty incident at York in May but quickly showed himself none the worse when landing the Group 3 John of Gaunt at Haydock (7f, good to firm) in June. No reason why he won't give his running but will require a bit of improvement to come out on top.
Useful effort to win a 1m Naas handicap in May and much improved again when a length third to Haatem in the Group 3 Jersey at Royal Ascot (7f, good to firm). Another big career best will be needed to take this.

Forecasts
Kinross (7/2), Audience (4/1), English Oak (4/1), Noble Dynasty (5/1), Tiber Flow (11/2), Chicago Critic (12/1), Art Power (16/1), Pogo (22/1)
KINROSS returns to a C&D which has brought out the best in him and can land this Group 2 for a third time. English Oak's dominant performance in the Buckingham Palace marks him down as one who can make the leap from top handicaps to pattern level and he's second choice ahead of Criterion winner Noble Dynasty.
