Useful performer in France and seems to be gradually working his way back to some sort of form, third of 9 in handicap at Pontefract (8f, good, 22/1) 19 days ago with On The River in behind. One to consider.

Twelve runs since last win in 2022. Fourth of 8 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm, 16/1) 33 days ago. No show in 2 previous runs here.

Veteran who won at Thirsk in 2023. Solid record here but might need this.

Won 7f Salisbury handicap last month and good second back over this trip at Kempton since, seeing things out well. Up another 2 lb but fairly lightly raced for top Newmarket stable and can figure again.

Scored at Newcastle in December but continues to fall in the weights without showing any sign of taking advantage. Did win on his only other previous visit here.

Not won for over 2 years and while he's slipped plenty in the weights he seems to be going through the motions at present. Down in class.

Good record at Pontefract and better when fourth there last time but continues to hinder himself by refusing to settle.

Nine-year-old but in fine form and becoming a Ripon specialist, landing a gamble as he registered a sixth win in C&D handicap a fortnight ago, making all in game fashion. Tougher to dominate these but still fairly treated on his peak efforts and got to be on the shortlist.

Fair handicapper off 20 months prior to return this season and might have needed his 2 runs back for new yard. Very well treated if he can recapture his best.
