C&D winner who stepped up on recent run returned to these shores when second of 10 in handicap at Windsor (5.1f, good to firm) 25 days ago, challenging final 1f and just failing. Worth considering on the back of that effort.

Useful, dual winner at 2 yrs and returned with an encouraging fourth for new yard in York listed event for new yard in May. Found Group 1 company beyond him at Royal Ascot 17 days ago but switch to handicaps rates a plus. Cheekpieces on 1st time.
Won a big field York handicap (5f) last summer and plenty of good efforts in competitive handicaps so far this campaign. Not ideally placed when midfield in 16-runner Thirsk handicap (5f) 3 weeks ago and better showing anticipated here.
Didn't really progress in pattern/listed company following debut success as a juvenile but did run respectably on the back of his comeback run when seventh of 28 in handicap at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) 14 days ago, running on. This rates less demanding.
Smashing servant to connections who arrives on a losing run but he ran respectably when sixth of 16 in handicap at York (7f, good to soft) 21 days ago. Return to the minimum trip probably not ideal here but his mark is easing all the time at least. Cheekpieces back on.
Each of his last 4 victories have come on AW but he fared creditably from his easing mark when third of 7 in handicap (9/4) at Ayr (5f, good to firm) 13 days ago, every chance final 1f and no extra only late on. He's one to bear in mind now.
Got off the mark in 7-runner maiden at Sandown (5f, good to firm) on his final start for William Haggas in September. Gelded/had wind op ahead of return for new yard but he never figured when twelfth of 17 in handicap at York (6f, soft) 20 days ago. This should reveal more.
Ended losing run at Lingfield (5f) and having proved consistent thereafter, he resumed winning ways from the front at Epsom (5f) in April. Lesser run in the "Dash" back there 5 weeks ago and whilst he's likely to bounce back, others appeal more for win purposes.
Winless since his C&D debut victory over 2 years ago but has highlighted of late he's capable of defying this sort of mark, likely he'd have pushed the winner closer still with a clear run at Sandown (5f) 3 weeks ago. Claims if getting the breaks.

Forecasts
Brave Nation (10/3), Mon Na Slieve (4/1), Squealer (5/1), Looking For Lynda (5/1), Alligator Alley (17/2), Kylian (10/1), Intervention (16/1), Night On Earth (16/1), Cover Point (16/1)
A good quality handicap with a chance taken on BRAVE NATION. He evidently needs everything to drop right but has knocked on the door on each of his last 2 starts and he's lurking on a very handy mark. Squealer, following his good Windsor second, and Looking For Lynda, who wasn't seen to best effect at Thirsk latest, are others to consider.
