Much improved after 5 months off/with cheekpieces fitted when second of 12 in maiden at Navan (10f) in April. Below best when seventh of 9 in maiden back at that venue in May but pick of form gives him sound claims on debut for new yard with cheekpieces refitted.

Fair form. Runner-up on debut at Dundalk (10.7f) in March but failed to progress when sixth of 9 in maiden back there later in the month. Absent since but he could yet have more to offer now tackling turf for the first time. Tongue strap left off.

Forecasts

Siege Of Troy (6/4), Hampshire (4/1), Royal Entry (7/1), Il Sovrano (9/1), Rock Of Ireland (10/1), Sacred Oath (12/1), Trethorn (14/1), Trapalanda (22/1), Shepperton Lodge (25/1), Slowdownbarney (25/1), Vivacious Lady (33/1), Bucaneer's Spirit (40/1), Don't Hassle (40/1), Street Mentor (80/1), Epic Performance (250/1), Out Of Theordinary (250/1), Threehavenine (250/1), Hollies Choice (300/1)

Verdict

SEIGE OF TROY was still in need of the experience but seemed to finish with running left having taken time to hit full stride when fourth at Gowran (9.4f) 12 days ago. Still very much one to be positive about, she can make it third time lucky. Rock of Ireland is a player on the pick of his form and feared on debut for his new yard. Newcomers Hampshire and Il Sovrano are others to note.
