French Company¹³

7/2

Fair gelding. Respectable fourth of 16 in handicap at Fairyhouse (10f, good to soft, 18/1) 13 days ago, needing stiffer test. This rates more suitable down in class and booking of Keane a plus.

Form: 5313-74

Below form on each of her last 2 starts on AW earlier this year and well held back from 11-week break when fifteenth of 16 in handicap at Fairyhouse (10f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Needs to leave that well behind to figure.

Age: 7| Weight: 8-10| J: James Ryan⁽⁵⁾| T: J F Levins| OR: 42| D

40/1

Modest gelding. 14/1, possibly needed the run after 8 months off when tenth of 13 in handicap at Cork (10.1f, good to soft) 22 days ago. Still, plenty to find if he's to play a part on these terms.

Forecasts

Kendancer (11/4), Emeric (10/3), French Company (7/2), Pinball Wizard (5/1), Roderick (8/1), Magnetic North (10/1), Neandra (10/1), Neddies Boy (14/1), Santa Catarina (20/1), Hasten Slowly (28/1), Romann (40/1), Fox Leicester (66/1), Sapristi (80/1)

A trappy claimer with the narrow vote in favour of EMERIC. He wasn't at his best over shorter at the Curragh 3 weeks ago but was proving a model of consistency on all-weather previously and, still lightly raced at this trip, he's taken to bounce back. Kendancer and Roderick are others to consider, along with French Company.
