Failed to show much in 3 starts over hurdles since returning from a lengthy absence in February and having been towards the head of the betting for his chase debut, was let down by his jumping when unseating mid-race at Warwick (24f, good) 26 days ago. Too soon to write him off.
Runner-up on completed start in points and in handicap hurdle at Southwell in April. Ran poorly over fences there next time (again well backed) but no shock were he to bounce back in first-time cheekpieces.
Runner-up in an Irish point before running to a fair level when making the frame both starts in bumpers. Cut little ice over hurdles, though, and similar story both starts over fences, including on debut for this yard.
Dual winner in 2021/22 for Martin Smith but doesn't seem to retain much ability these days, remote third at Fontwell 11 days ago.
Mixed record over hurdles but winner of fifth start between the flags and made an encouraging debut over fences when fourth at Southwell last month, making his effort earlier than ideal. In capable hands and is open to improvement as a chaser.
Fair winning hurdler/chaser at up to 2½m in France in 2021 but didn't offer much for Rebecca Menzies and in 2 starts again over hurdles for this yard earlier this year. Point winner since and third last time.
Placed in 3 handicaps last summer. Temperament has long been under suspicion, though, and went with little encouragement back over hurdles after 7 months off at Kelso last month.
Back-to-back winner at Bangor 2 years ago but largely struggled since. Career-low mark and yard form are the positives.
Unreliable type and well held last 3 starts, including on return last month. However, she's 2 from 2 around here (off 1 lb lower) so big run wouldn't surprise.
Won a brace of handicap chases in April 2022 but has drawn a blank since and he's basically not one to rely on, well-held seventh of 10 in handicap chase (10/1) at Warwick (24f, good to soft) 7 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time.
Successful twice in 3m handicap chases at Doncaster in early-2022. Form patchy since, and this veteran is opposable from 2 lb out of the handicap.
Successful at the third attempt in Irish points but has little form under Rules. 3 lb out of the handicap.
£45,000 buy after winning last of 4 starts in Irish points but has yet to make an impact under Rules. 3 lb out of the handicap on chase bow.

Forecasts
Ideal De Romay (9/2), Dirk Gently (5/1), Jeteye (11/2), Hattons Gardens (6/1), Phil De Pail (7/1), Daranova (17/2), Hey Day Baby (11/1), Batman For Ever (12/1), Hey Brother (20/1), Talkingthetalk (20/1), Cobra Commander (25/1), Yesnosorry (33/1), Lough Salt (40/1), Friends Don't Ask (50/1)
HATTONS GARDENS made an encouraging debut over fences when fourth at Southwell so makes the most appeal with most of his rivals arriving with something to prove. Talkingthetalk is a potential danger given her 100% record around here, while Daranova is running off a reduced mark for an in-form yard.
- Talkingthetalk20/1
- Daranova17/2
