Progressive staying hurdler last season and surpassed that form on the second attempt over fences when scrambling home here (19.5f soft) in November. Has failed to build on that since and latest effort at Ludlow was very poor.

Landed a brace of hunters at Ludlow at the end of last season for Michael Scudamore and performed well on yard debut when runner-up in Market Rasen handicap chase last summer. Performed to a similar level when fourth of 12 back at that course in September and claims if fully tuned-up for this.

Capitalised on a reduced mark with plenty to spare here (17.8f, heavy) last month. This step back up in trip will be in his favour and 5 lb rise tolerable, so another bold show could be on the way.

Got off the mark for the season in hard-fought fashion here (3¼m, heavy) on penultimate start but he was put in his place at Haydock next time and again looks vulnerable.

Made a winning start over fences over C&D last summer but pulled up both subsequent starts and now finds himself with a point to prove.

Showed promise in a couple of maiden hurdles during the autumn. Disappointing in handicap company the last twice, though, and the switch to fences will need to spark improvement if he's to get competitive on debut in this sphere.

Point winner who left hurdle efforts behind when making a winning chase debut in 19f Exeter handicap last month. Came 22 lengths clear and a 10 lb rise is unlikely to stop him, provided the addition of cheekpieces has the desired effect.

JOE COTTON made a real splash when justifying favouritism on his debut in this sphere at Exeter and, on that evidence, he looks capable of shrugging off a 10 lb rise in the weights. The main danger is likely to be posed by Dreaming Blue, who was also a wide-margin winner on his latest start. Fix At All is best of the rest.
