Winning Irish pointer who made a successful hurdles debut at Ayr last season. Hasn't really progressed over fences this term but made a creditable return to hurdles in a first-time visor (retained) when third of 8 over 23f here last month. Claims if he can build on that.
Third success of a productive season when seeing off 6 rivals over 19f at Catterick 4 weeks ago, kept up to work after drawing clear before 2 out. Still looks nicely treated after a 6 lb rise.
Fairly useful form on the Flat in Ireland and dual hurdle winner for this yard, the second success coming in 19.5f Hereford handicap last month. Should remain competitive up 5 lb.
Has improved since switched to handicaps, completing a hat-trick at up to 21f at the end of 2023. Another creditable effort when second over 23f here last month. Should give another good account.
Showed a likeable attitude to get off the mark in a Carlisle maiden (19f) last March. Placed 3 times in handicaps since (including here) but needs to bounce back from a lesser run at Carlisle last month. Tongue tied first time.
Successful on last of 3 starts in Irish points and also struck at the third time of asking over hurdles in 2m course maiden (heavy) just after Christmas. Only fourth in a novice here (2m again) since but unexposed now handicapping upped to a trip which should suit.
Winner of a Cartmel handicap in August and good third over 23f at Market Rasen 3 months later. Should be competitive if resuming from another break in similar form.
Placed on his completed start in Irish points and created a good impression to make a successful Rules debut in a Carlisle novice (19f) in December. Third under a penalty at Newcastle next time but needs to shrug off a very disappointing handicap debut effort there 24 days ago.
Irish point runner-up and placed in maiden company here (2m) and Musselburgh (2½m) on first 2 outings over hurdles. Only fifth of 8 when stepped up to 3m for last month's handicap debut back at Musselburgh but it's still early days for this 5-y-o.
Consistent in handicaps in 2022 but absent since finishing a close second over 23f here in May of that year. Ryan Mania on yard's other runner and a watching brief is the percentage call after such a long lay-off.

HARPER VALLEY impressed with the way he quickly skipped clear at Catterick last time and a 6 lb rise doesn't look enough to stop him. Like the selection, Eloi du Puy has thrived this season and is second choice ahead of Dream Boy, who should be suited by this longer trip now handicapping.
