Low-mileage 5-y-o who displayed useful form when winning 2 of his first 4 starts for Sir Michael Stoute prior to being pulled up at Sandown (1m) last May (went wrong after 3f). Acquired by new connections for 30,000 gns in October and definitely worth considering back from 9 months off.

C&D winner. Respectable fifth of 12 in handicap (11/1) at Lingfield (8f, AW) 45 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Not out of things from this sort of mark, particularly granted a good pace to aim at.
Course winner. Latest win at Wolverhampton in January. 11/1, good second of 9 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 15 days ago. Taken well to the drop back to 1m and likely to continue in form.
Three wins from 10 runs last year. Creditable fifth of 13 in handicap at this C&D (28/1) 35 days ago. Handicapper has given him a chance but he could do with settling better.
Three wins from 11 runs last year. 7/1, eighth of 12 in handicap at Wolverhampton (9.5f) 25 days ago. Present mark doesn't look beyond him on pick of his AW form this winter.
Shed maiden tag over C&D in December and remained in form since, good second of 12 in handicap (9/2) at Newcastle (7.1f) 21 days ago, clear of rest. Expected to give another good account up in grade.
Eleventh of 12 in handicap at this C&D (28/1) 10 days ago, possibly in need of the run following 10 months off. Still, others more persuasive.
First run since leaving Freddie & Martyn Meade when last of 8 in handicap (33/1) at Newcastle (7.1f) 40 days ago, weakening 2f out. That was his first start for 7 months and this ought to reveal more. Yard also saddle Perseverants.
Successful over 1¼m as a 4-y-o. Missed whole of last season and couldn't get involved from a poor position on return from 18 months off when seventh of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 17/2) 18 days ago. This should reveal more.
Successful over 1m for Richard Fahey last summer and solid start for new yard when runner-up over hurdles at Musselburgh (15.5f) in November. However, proved disappointing in 2 starts on the level since. Others preferred despite easing mark.

Forecasts
Tropez Power (5/2), Assessment (10/3), Borgi (4/1), Leap Day (6/1), Gincident (7/1), Master Of Combat (7/1), Perseverants (28/1), Life On The Rocks (40/1), Vecchio (100/1), Three Yorkshiremen (125/1)
ASSESSMENT has been absent since being pulled up at Sandown last spring but he'd previously looked one to keep firmly on side and this low-mileage 5-y-o could be worth chancing to make a winning return (has gone well fresh) on debut for Archie Watson. Leap Day is running consistently well and feared, along with Tropez Power and Borgi.
