Fair maiden hurdler who showed he can be very competitive in handicaps when second over 19f here (soft) in December. Respectable fourth at Huntingdon since and has a much more solid recent record than most of today's rivals. Leading claims.
Dual hurdler winner for Andrew Slattery in Ireland. Left that yard after finishing a below-form fourth at Limerick 3 weeks ago.
Showed ability in 3 qualifying runs before Christmas but made a disappointing start to his handicap career when down the field over 3m at Wetherby last month. Connections have a big rethink over the trip.
Untrustworthy individual but he's a 3-time C&D winner. Hasn't been at his best since finishing third here in November but his mark has come down as a result. No surprise were he to stage a revival.
Course winner but hasn't been threatening lately, finishing fifth of 11 over C&D on latest start 2 weeks ago.
Modest form in Ireland and hard to derive much encouragement from his 2 outings for this yard in recent months.
Placed in 2 bumpers in summer 2022 (trained in Ireland first occasion). Comfortably held in 3 novice hurdles this winter (trained by Thomas Gallagher first 2) but he stands a more realistic chance now handicapping.
Poor form in bumpers/over hurdles but he was better than the result when 15 lengths fifth on his 2¾m Newcastle handicap debut, finding the test too much. Of some interest dropping back in trip.
Course winner. Creditable second of 10 at Hexham (2m, heavy) in November but not in the same form at Kelso later that month. Given a bit of a break since.

R S Ambush (10/3), Paddy O'Mahler (10/3), Kingston Rock (13/2), Palm Beach (13/2), Bouncing Bobby (7/1), Applaus (17/2), Eire Street (11/1), Broadford Publican (20/1), Iwa (20/1), Kellie's Dream (22/1)
This looks a decent opportunity for R S AMBUSH to get off the mark. Applaus hasn't fired lately but his mark has come down as a result and he tends to save his best for this venue so he's one who could go well. Kingston Rock found his stamina stretched by 2¾m on his handicap debut and could make more of an impact back over shorter.
