Once-raced gelding. Missed the break when fifth of 8 in minor event at Haydock (6f, good, 10/1) on debut/sole start for Charles Hills. Subsequent 17-month absence is a concern but it'll be interesting to see how he shapes up in the betting on debut for new yard.
Twice-raced colt. 9/2, first run since leaving Joseph Patrick O'Brien when fifth of 7 in minor event at Leicester (7f, heavy) 80 days ago. Has changed hands again since and couldn't be sure that this drop to the minimum trip is what he wants.
Once-raced gelding. Sixth of 12 in minor event (40/1) at Pontefract (6f, good to soft) on debut. Off 106 days and probably more one for handicaps further down the line.
Promising type. Second of 5 in minor event at this C&D (2/1) 10 days ago. Remains open to improvement and should make a bold bid to go one better this time.
Twice-raced gelding. Last of 5 in minor event at this C&D (80/1) 10 days ago. Hard to warm to.
Lightly-raced colt. 9/1, below form seventh of 12 in nursery at Newcastle (6f) 20 days ago. Looks vulnerable.
Twice-raced filly. Second of 6 in maiden (16/5) at this C&D 45 days ago. Shapes as though stepping up to 6f+ wouldn't go amiss but she's a major player in any case.
Thrice-raced filly. Seventh of 9 in minor event (50/1) at this C&D 20 days ago, not knocked about. Another who may be seen in a better light in handicaps.
Once-raced filly. 10/3, seventh of 8 in maiden at Pontefract (6f, good to firm) on debut 6 months ago. Shaped better than the bare result and presumably capable of a good deal better.

Forecasts
Influence (4/6), Bint Alfella (5/1), Cargin Bhui (11/2), Split The Profit (7/1), Mariners Way (16/1), Helga Brandt (18/1), Al Muqdad (20/1), Cervetto (25/1), Body Parts (80/1), Jazz State (100/1)
It's likely that INFLUENCE and Bint Alfella will both prove to be most effective at 6f+ but they are nevertheless the candidates with the most compelling claims in this maiden, and by some way. Influence is marginally preferred having chased home a potentially useful colt over this C&D on Boxing Day. Al Muqdad has been absent since making his debut 17 months ago but he is interesting nonetheless, while Helga Brandt can be expected to leave her low-key introduction well behind in time.
