Poundland Novices' Handicap Hurdle

Shaped like a stayer when finishing midfield only start in bumpers and offered more than previously over hurdles when fourth on qualifying run at Ludlow (15.7f) in October. Yard know this family well and likely there's more to come now handicapping up in trip.

Fair form at his best for Nicky Henderson and was in the process of running well when departing 2 out in a Huntingdon handicap on first start for this yard in January. However, didn't jump well when down the field on his return at this venue in November.

Looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind, not knocked about turned out quickly at Market Rasen 6 weeks ago. This longer trip will suit and interesting if the market speaks in his favour.

Remains a maiden following 10 attempts over hurdles but he again ran well when second at Newcastle (16.8f) 17 days ago, every chance approaching last and keeping on. Effective at this longer trip and he's one to bear in mind.

Didn't offer a great deal in 5 starts at around 2m but much more like it when second in 15-runner Exeter handicap (21.6f) in November, staying on well and just failing. One to be interested in on that evidence.

Stepped up on what she showed in bumpers when third of 10 on first completed start over hurdles at Stratford (16.3f, soft) in April. Hasn't gone without promise both starts beyond 2m since, latterly when fifth in an Aintree novice (20f) in November. Likely capable of better now handicapping.

Flat winner who remains a maiden in this sphere but showed some promise starting out for new yard when fifth of 8 in handicap hurdle at Lingfield (2m) last month. Eased further 4 lb ahead of this if he can build on that.

Placed in an Irish point, but low-key start in trio of quick-fire maiden/novice hurdle runs in recent months. Handicaps will be more his bag now at least.

No impact in 4 starts over hurdles, latterly on handicap debut back in June and returns to this sphere following a considerate introduction to chasing at Ludlow 25 days ago. Best watched.

Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules who hasn't offered a great deal in trio of hurdle outings in recent months. Needs to show much more now handicapping.

Has made more impact since sent handicapping this year and not discredited when third at Wincanton (19.8f) 38 days ago, the step back up in trip looking in his favour. Each-way claims from same mark.

Maiden who was again sent off at long odds but managed to better previous exploits when fourth of 13 in novices' handicap at Lingfield (19.5f) in November. However, more needed if he's to play a part here.

Little form in a bumper/over hurdles to date and she's best watched operating from out of the weights.
