Wyenot³⁴

Age: 4| Weight: 11-7| J: R Patrick| T: H D Daly| D

11/8

Closely related to useful chaser Everlastingpromise. Shaped well when third in bumper at Southwell on NH debut and created a good impression first time up over hurdles when winning at Ludlow on return despite still looking far from the finished article. Penalised but more to come.

Form: 3-1

15/2

Fairly useful 3-time 1½m Flat winner in France for Nicolas Clement. Makes hurdle debut (dam half-sister to useful hurdler Amore Mio). Interesting to see how she goes in the betting.

Form:

Blow The Budget¹⁸⁵

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: P W Wadge⁽³⁾| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell

12/1

Modest in bumpers and went with little encouragement sent hurdling at Uttoxeter. Off 6 months. First run for yard after leaving Michael Scudamore.

Form: 54-P

Bridgetjoans¹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Callum Bewley| T: S Waugh

300/1

And Beyond filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including fair hurdler Cruachan. Dam ran once on Flat in France. Third sole start in point bumpers (Apr 16). 200/1, pulled up in novice hurdle at Hexham (16.2f, heavy) on NH debut 19 days ago.

Form: 3-P

Fiveafterfour^t1²⁶²

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: D R Fox| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell

9/2

£80,000 5-y-o, Flemensfirth mare. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Sound And Fury. Dam, 2m hurdle winner, half-sister to temperamental but useful hurdler/smart chaser Contraband. Easy winner sole outing in Irish points (Mar 12). Likely type.

Form: 1-

Fllana Bay^h³⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-0| J: Conor Rabbitt⁽⁵⁾| T: M A Barnes| OR: 80

125/1

Poor maiden hurdler who was well beaten on her recent return from a 4-month break.

Form: 378-P37

Fortune Forever²¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: P J Brennan| T: F O'Brien

5/1

Showed ability in bumpers last season and found just one too good on return/hurdles debut at Warwick (2m, good). Perhaps the testing conditions counted against her over the same C&D next time so worth another chance. Engaged 2.40 Southwell Tuesday.

Form: 4354-27

Hellenista¹¹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Jamie Hamilton| T: T D Easterby| D

50/1

Modest handicapper on Flat who didn't show much on belated hurdling debut at Wetherby 11 days ago.

Form: 6

Libby^p³⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R Menzies| OR: 116

12/1

Fair form over hurdles for Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Well held back on the Flat both starts for this yard but sets the standard back in this sphere.

Form: 444524-

Similar Story¹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 11-0| J: Sam Coltherd| T: W Coltherd

13/2

Easy winner of a point and there was some encouragement both starts over hurdles. Needs further to fulfil potential, though.

Form: P/2-154

Woogrey²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 11-0| J: Miss Pippa Brown⁽⁷⁾| T: Craig Lidster

200/1

Lightly-raced maiden under NH rules. 100/1, first run since leaving Phillip Makin when eighth of 12 in novice hurdle at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) on hurdles bow 21 days ago. Engaged 2.40 Southwell Tuesday.

Form: 383-8

Forecasts

Wyenot (11/8), Fiveafterfour (9/2), Fortune Forever (5/1), Similar Story (13/2), Anamanda (15/2), Blow The Budget (12/1), Libby (12/1), Hellenista (50/1), Fllana Bay (125/1), Woogrey (200/1), Bridgetjoans (300/1)

WYENOT looked a decent prospect when beating a couple of subsequent winners at Ludlow on hurdles bow 5 weeks ago and she can defy a penalty. Fiveafterfour was an easy winner on her sole outing in Irish points so must be respected, with Anamanda another hurdling newcomer to consider having shown fairly useful form on the Flat in France.
