Showed a bit on his sole outing in bumpers and left that form behind to make a successful debut over hurdles at Newcastle (20f) last November. Not in same form under a penalty at Sedgefield and ran even worse on Ayr handicap debut but still has plenty of time on his side.

Showed a real liking for Cartmel during the summer, winning back-to-back handicaps in May/June. However, found his run of good form coming to halt there when last seen in August, so needs to bounce back.

Showed a bit more than previously for current yard under a patient ride when fourth in 7-runner handicap hurdle at Huntingdon (15.8f, good to soft) 17 days ago. Stable going well and still lightly raced, so no forlorn hope.

Fair maiden on Flat who showed a good attitude to get off the mark at Exeter in March. Creditable efforts thereafter and wasn't disgraced back on the level at Bath last month. Should go well.

Showed a bit on second hurdle start at Tramore in June 2022 but that remains a standout. First run for yard after leaving Vincent Laurence Halley.

Left Dan Skelton on the cheap but showed some ability remains when seventh of 12 in handicap at this course (19.8f) 36 days ago. His task is to now build on that.

Sole win came over C&D in 2021 and placed last 2 starts, including over C&D last week. Should be thereabouts again.

Achieved very little all 4 starts over hurdles last season, including on handicap debut on final outing. Has had a breathing operation since.

PORT OR STARBOARD doesn't have the best of strike rates, but he very rarely doesn't give his running and that could go a long way in this field, so he looks the most solid option. Attention All proved a bit disappointing after making a successful start over hurdles at Newcastle, but he still has time on his side so can't be written off, while El Jefe arrives in good heart and ought to be in the shake-up again.
