C&D winner. 3 wins from 21 runs this year. 11/2, much improved when winning 7-runner handicap at Lingfield (6f, AW) 7 days ago. Carries penalty. Shortlist material.
Generally in good form last winter, winning twice, but others are more immediately persuasive on his return from a 6-month break/wind op.
Four-time C&D winner. 6/1, seventh of 8 in handicap at Les Landes (7f, firm) 81 days ago. Rejoined yard after leaving Mrs A. Malzard. Has slipped back down the weights but recent efforts have left plenty to be desired.
Lightly-raced maiden. Fifth of 8 in minor event at Newcastle (6f, 10/3) 34 days ago. Makes polytrack/handicap debut. Arrives after a couple of backwards steps, so has bit to prove at present.
Won at Wolverhampton in April but has finished down the field both starts for current yard, latterly over C&D a fortnight ago. Tricky to fancy.
Latest win at Yarmouth in August. 9/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, back to form when second of 7 in claimer at Kempton (6f) 8 days ago. Enters calculations.
C&D winner in February. Found run brief run of good form coming to halt when last of 7 in handicap at Catterick (6f, good to firm, 7/1). Off 153 days. Needs a couple of these to falter.
Capitalised on falling mark to win at Wolverhampton in March. Looked unsuited by drop in trip when eighth of 10 in handicap at Southwell (5f). Possible he may need this after 7 months off.
Eleven runs since last win in 2022. Fifth of 8 in handicap at Bath (5f, firm, 10/3) 57 days ago. Went close off higher mark there in August and would hold frame claims if in same form.
Thrice-raced maiden. First run since leaving Phillip Makin when ninth of 12 in maiden (150/1) at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Plenty to find on form.

Forecasts
Masterclass (3/1), Lilkian (16/5), Starsong (5/1), Confederation (5/1), Crown Dreams (7/1), Alafdhal (14/1), Lynns Boy (16/1), Em Jay Kay (18/1), Mellys Flyer (22/1), Chico Dulce (80/1)
LILKIAN is drawn better than on his last visit to this track and makes plenty of appeal under a 5 lb penalty in a contest where few arrive at the peak of their powers. Masterclass bounced back to form in a Kempton claimer last time and would rate as the biggest threat if able to back that up, with Confederation narrowly preferred to complete the placings.
