Mondialiste gelding. 40,000 gns Breeze-Up purchase improved when winning 8-runner maiden at Haydock (6f, soft, 3/1) 12 days ago, suited by well-run race. Respected again.
Fairly useful colt, twice placed in listed company this season. Out of depth on first outing since leaving K. R. Burke when 9¾ lengths tenth of 12 to Alyanaabi in Somerville Tattersall Stakes at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) 13 days ago but merits respect back in this grade.
Havana Grey colt. Improved from debut when fourth of 12 in maiden (66/1) at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) 90 days ago but will probably be of more interest in nurseries.
Due Diligence gelding. Again not really given a hard time from off the pace when fifth of 8 in minor event at Carlisle (7.8f, good, 66/1) 40 days ago. Looks one for nurseries.
Territories gelding. Fared best of newcomers when fourth of 11 in minor event (28/1) at Redcar (6f, good to firm) on debut 46 days ago, never nearer after having to pick way through. Type to improve.
Foaled April 6. Tasleet gelding. Dam once-raced half-sister to smart 1m-10.3f winner Khairaat out of winning half-sister to high-class performer up to 1½m Maraahel. Likely to need time.
Foaled March 8. Inns of Court colt. Half-brother to 6f winner Fly To Glory and winner up to 1¼m Dayron. Dam 5f-6.3f winner. Wears hood. Yard not associated with debut winners.
Magna Grecia colt. Promise when third at Salisbury on debut but took a backwards step when thirteenth of 16 in minor event at Chelmsford City (7f) 41 days ago. Bounce back called for.
Foaled February 14. 50,000 gns yearling, Phoenix of Spain colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including 7.4f/1m winner Blu Boy and 2-y-o 6f winner Misty Blues. Plenty to like on paper.
Profitable gelding. 50/1, fifth of 13 in maiden at Beverley (5f, heavy) 21 days ago, needing lesser test. Needs more stepping up in trip.
Foaled February 21. 7,000 gns 2-y-o, No Nay Never gelding. Dam 1m winner out of winning close relative of high-class winner up to 1m Dubawi. Worth market check.
Foaled April 5. Kingman filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 1m winner Companionship. Noteworthy newcomer.
Foaled February 15. 50,000 gns yearling, Night of Thunder filly. Closely related to smart winner up to 7f Culturati and 2-y-o 6f winner Endless Charm. Dam winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner). Makes some appeal on paper.

Global Skies (5/2), Gundogan (10/3), World Of Darcy (7/2), Western (9/2), Pedro Valentino (7/1), Nukanan (17/2), King's Ginger (9/1), Thunderette (20/1), Cuban Fiesta (33/1), Hits The Front (50/1), Finn Ironside (66/1), Profit Street (80/1), Subaltern (100/1), I Am The Fox (200/1)
A tricky novice contest, in which WESTERN is given another chance to confirm the positive impression made at Ascot back in these calmer waters. Global Skies is respected having shown plenty of stamina to score at Haydock last time, whilst the twice listed-placed World of Darcy is also hard to rule out. Newcomers King's Ginger and Pedro Valentino are others to consider in a potentially warm event.
