8/1

Eight wins from 24 Flat runs. Latest win at Lingfield in July. 13/2, below form third of 8 in handicap at Ffos Las (14f, heavy) 24 days ago, though may have found the test too much. Cheekpieces on first time.

Tashi²⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-2| J: Charles Bishop| T: T Ward| OR: 80

15/2

One win from 25 Flat runs. Fourteen runs since last win in 2021. Second of 5 in handicap at Newmarket (12f, soft, 20/1) 27 days ago, no match for winner. That was a step back in the right direction.

Form: 90-3072

Charles St^b¹²⁶

Age: 4| Weight: 10-0| J: Hollie Doyle| T: F O'Brien| OR: 78| BF

7/2

Seriously expensive to follow over hurdles for this stable and has just a maiden win to his name on the level. Fitness no concern given yard he represents but others more persuasive.

Form: 224232-

Lady Percival¹⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-0| J: K Shoemark| T: H Morrison| OR: 78| D

4/1

Excellent return from 8 months off when third of 6 in handicap at Wolverhampton (14f, 13/2) 14 days ago, running on. Has to be of serious interest.

Form: 32113-3

Capone¹⁷

Age: 8| Weight: 9-11| J: Joshua Bryan| T: D J S Ffrench Davis| OR: 75

13/8

Winner at Chester in June. 40/1, good second of 13 in handicap at Nottingham (16f, good to soft) 17 days ago, finding only a 3-y-o too good. 3 lb rise won't prevent a very bold bid.

Form: 2-43122

Highland Frolic^t,v⁶⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 9-8| J: David Egan| T: M F Harris| OR: 72

9/1

Lightly-raced maiden on Flat. Fair winner at 16f over hurdles. Good second of 9 in handicap hurdle at Southwell (20.4f, good to firm, 4/1) 67 days ago. First Flat run for this yard.

Forecasts

Capone (13/8), Charles St (7/2), Spritzin' (7/2), Lady Percival (4/1), Tashi (15/2), Captain Kane (8/1), Noble Masquerade (8/1), Highland Frolic (9/1)

CAPONE found only an improving 3-y-o too good in a deeper handicap than this at Nottingham 17 days ago and with that performance confirming he's in top form, he could be the answer. Lady Percival's belated reappearance was a very good one so she demands respect, along with Spritzin' at the foot of the weights.
