Empire Of Light³³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: B A Curtis| T: C Johnston| OR: 81| D

16/1

Came on plenty for debut and showed a determined attitude when landing 9-runner Newmarket novice (6f) in June. Clearly not 100% when tailed off last of 10 at Windsor since but should bounce back.

Form: 510

Alaskan Gold³⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: D Tudhope| T: K R Burke

4/9

£200,000 2-y-o, Kodiac colt. Improved on debut form when third in a 13-runner Goodwood maiden (6f) 30 days ago. A repeat should see him tough to beat in this less demanding affair.

Form: 33

(1)

Infinite Honour²⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Harry Russell| T: S Corbett

100/1

Once-raced maiden. 40/1, fifth of 9 in maiden at Musselburgh (7.2f, good to soft) on debut 27 days ago, travelling into contention before running green under pressure. Entitled to progress.

Form: 5

(10)

Inspiring Speeches¹³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: M Dods

33/1

€47,000 yearling, Churchill colt. Not without promise when fifth of 14 in maiden at Thirsk (6f) 2 weeks ago, outpaced 2f out and keeping on final 1f. This stiffer track will suit on that evidence.

Form: 5

(5)

Papagrey

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: D Fentiman| T: T D Easterby

100/1

Foaled April 20. Ardad colt. Brother to 7f winner Platinum Girl and half-brother to 3 winners, including useful 1¼m winner Highwaygrey and 1m winner Delgrey Boy. Yard know this family well but likelihood is he'll be better for this initial experience.

(3)

State Of Chaos¹⁷

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: P J McDonald| T: R A Fahey

33/1

Dark Angel colt who was sent off at long odds but showed ability nevertheless when seventh of 13 in a Wolverhampton novice (6f) 17 days ago. In good hands and he's entitled to progress.

Form: 7

(2)

Sweet Soul Music²²

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: G Lee| T: B Ellison

33/1

Twice-raced maiden. Fourth of 8 in maiden at Pontefract (6f, good, 6/1) 22 days ago, beaten when hanging left over 1f out. Nurseries entitled to be more his bag.

Form: 44

(6)

Welcome Dream³³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Shane Gray| T: K A Ryan

3/1

Night of Thunder colt who has displayed promise both starts to date, shaping more like a stayer than may be expected on pedigree when plugging on for sixth in Ascot maiden (6f) 33 days ago. May yet to do better, including when tackling 7f.

Form: 36

(8)

Flow So Gently²⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: A Mullen| T: I Jardine

80/1

Once-raced maiden. 22/1, last of 7 in minor event at Ayr (7.2f, good) on debut 24 days ago, looking green and weakening over 1f out. This promises to reveal more but others make much more appeal.

Form: 7

(4)

Go Big Or Go Home¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: Jason Hart| T: B Smart

10/1

Half-sister to top-class sprinter Battaash who showed some ability amidst greenness when 5 lengths fourth of 7 in a Beverley novice (5f) 2 weeks ago, running green before taking fourth late on. Should improve.

Form: 4

(9)

Somekindawonderful

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: Mark Winn⁽³⁾| T: T Davidson

100/1

Foaled April 16. Lightning Spear filly. Half-sister to 5f winner Dream Revival. Dam maiden (likely to have stayed 1¼m). Probably best watched on debut.

Forecasts

Alaskan Gold (4/9), Welcome Dream (3/1), Go Big Or Go Home (10/1), Empire Of Light (16/1), Inspiring Speeches (33/1), Sweet Soul Music (33/1), State Of Chaos (33/1), Flow So Gently (80/1), Infinite Honour (100/1), Papagrey (100/1), Somekindawonderful (100/1)

ALASKAN GOLD improved on his debut form when finishing a good third in a Goodwood maiden (6f) 4 weeks ago and, back in calmer waters, he looks the one to beat. Welcome Dream has showed promise himself in 2 starts to date and is feared, with the very well related Go Big Or Go Home and Empire of Light completing the shortlist.
