The latter shaped well behind one who's gone on to reach a smart level this year on his Newcastle debut 9 months ago, but the step up in trip isn't certain to suit given how he shaped that day, whereas the former will very much benefit from this stiffer test and is narrowly preferred on that basis. Sailing On caught the eye from an unpromising position at Windsor recently and shouldn't be completely overlooked.
