William Hill Extra Place Races Daily Mares' Handicap Chase

Had a productive 2022, winning 3 times, latest when making all in similar event at Hereford (20.9f) in October. May have been undone by slower ground when below par at same course the following month and must enter calculations on return here.

Finished third on sole start in points in March 2021 and acquitted herself well over hurdles the last twice, latest when second of 8 in novice at Ffos Las (20f, heavy) 60 days ago. Warrants respect on chasing bow.

Won 2 chases in summer 2021 but more miss than hit over fences since. Well beaten over hurdles when last seen at Fakenham in November and likely best watched on first outing since. Had wind operation.

Won a couple of Catterick handicap chases (both 19.2f) in 2021/22 and back to that sort of form when creditable fourth of 9 in handicap at Sedgefield (21.1f, heavy) 37 days ago. Not out of things.

Irish point winner who posted an encouraging second of 9 in handicap at Fontwell (21.6f, good to soft) on debut over fences 11 days ago, sticking to task. Entitled to build on that.

Made a winning start over hurdles in 2m novice at Hereford in October but rather went backwards thereafter and remains to be seen if switch to chasing sparks a revival in form. Returns from 4 months off.

No impact in half a dozen attempts over hurdles. May do better over the larger obstacles (placed sole start in points) but percentage call is to look elsewhere.

Sound start to chase career, after 11 months off, when placed at Taunton (16.1f) and Exeter (17.5f) this spring. Return to longer trip will suit and is one for the shortlist.
