22/1

Had a bit up his sleeve when taking advantage of a drop in the weights over 2m at Southwell in September. Given a break since a lesser run at Fakenham in November and capable of bouncing back. Respected.

Tico Times^p³¹

Age: 10| Weight: 11-12| J: Danny McMenamin| T: A Slack| OR: 96| D

28/1

Won a trio of handicaps during second half of 2022 for Dianne Sayer but hasn't fired since Sedgefield second in October. Back on a good mark but need to see more.

Form: 124064-

Check My Pulse^p¹⁶⁹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: Henry Brooke| T: R Menzies| OR: 94| D

11/1

Finally got off the mark over fences in 7-runner handicap chase at Carlisle (2m) in October. Not in the same form at Catterick the following month. Freshened up since.

Form: 8U4215-

Fearless Action³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-8| J: Conor Rabbitt⁽⁷⁾| T: C Grant| OR: 92

13/2

Solid efforts when in the frame at Sedgefield on all 3 chase starts. Ought to be competitive with Conor Rabbitt taking 7 lb off.

Form: 6/47234-

Rockonsoph^h,t²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: Dylan Johnston⁽⁷⁾| T: R Dobbin| OR: 91

10/1

Ran poorly in Perth handicap hurdle last month but had run well when second at Ayr prior to that and a point background provides hope that she'll take to fences.

Form: 1/34928-

Getaway Jewel³²

Age: 9| Weight: 11-5| J: B S Hughes| T: Micky Hammond| OR: 89

16/1

Landed a Market Rasen double (both 17f) under Brian Hughes last summer. Not at best in 2 comeback runs this spring but was better than the result last time and Brian Hughes is back in the saddle now. One of the more likely types.

Form: 474357-

Fourth Of July^t²²

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Ryan Mania| T: R M Smith| OR: 86| BF

11/2

It's now 18 runs since his last win in 2021 but he has recorded good placed efforts over C&D and at Hexham on his last 2 outings. Likely to be in the shake-up again.

Form: 335732-

Six One Nine^p⁸⁹

Age: 8| Weight: 11-2| J: Tom Midgley⁽³⁾| T: C Grant| OR: 86| CD

12/1

Consistent type who was runner-up twice over C&D during the winter. Contender if turning up from a 3-month break in similar form.

Form: 7F2622-

Zara's Universe³²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-13| J: J Kington| T: A Crook| OR: 83

10/1

Arrives on a hat-trick after wins at Market Rasen and Sedgefield in recent months. Likely to give another good account.

Form: 483311-

Budarri^p,t¹⁰

Age: 10| Weight: 10-11| J: Sam Coltherd| T: W Coltherd| OR: 81| CD

14/1

Scored at Musselburgh in February and creditable in-frame efforts since. Another who can't be discounted.

Form: 36812-4

Chemical Warfare^t¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 10-8| J: Thomas Dowson| T: T Collier| OR: 78

3/1

Good second over C&D in January. Disappointing at Sedgefield next time but latest fifth of 14 over hurdles at Southwell was creditable.

Form: 32P2P5-

Kicksaftersix¹⁸¹

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: Sean Quinlan| T: M Todhunter| OR: 66WS

9/1

Fair form in bumpers for Warren Greatrex but little form over jumps, including when attracting support on chase bow at Hexham in November. Has since had wind op. 6 lb out of the handicap.

Form: FP7/P75-

Forecasts

Chemical Warfare (3/1), Fourth Of July (11/2), Fearless Action (13/2), Kicksaftersix (9/1), Zara's Universe (10/1), Rockonsoph (10/1), Check My Pulse (11/1), Six One Nine (12/1), Budarri (14/1), Getaway Jewel (16/1), Gouet Des Bruyeres (22/1), Da Vinci Hand (22/1), Tico Times (28/1)

The suggestion in a very open race is GETAWAY JEWEL now reunited with Brian Hughes, who was on board for both his wins last summer. Fourth of July, Six One Nine and the hat-trick seeking Zara's Universe head the many dangers.
