Latest win at Pontefract in October. 28/1, below form eighth of 18 in handicap at Redcar (7f, heavy) in November. Has gone well fresh but others make greater appeal for win purposes on this occasion.
4-time course winner. Two wins from 6 runs last year. 28/1, ninth of 14 in handicap at Southwell (5f) 34 days ago, racing off the pace and never on terms having been poorly drawn. No surprise to see him thereabouts returned to this venue/operating from a handy draw.
Opened his account for William Jarvis at Wolverhampton (6f) in October. Did too much too soon when sixth of 14 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) on final start in October and he starts out for a new yard here. Run may well bring him on.
Soft ground C&D winner back in autumn 2021 and whilst lightly raced since, confirmed himself as good as ever when landing 11-runner handicap at Southwell (7.1f, 3/1) 29 days ago. Should remain competitive.
Improved fitted with cheekpieces last year, completing quick-fire hat-trick at Redcar (7f) in June. Went off the boil towards backend of the campaign but feasible to think he will come forward from his return at Newcastle 3 weeks ago.
Three wins from 11 runs last year. 16/1, eleventh of 14 in handicap at Doncaster (10.2f, heavy), finding test too much. Off 173 days. Significantly down in trip.
4-time C&D winner who capitalised on career-low mark when adding to tally at Redcar (1m, heavy) on final start in November, albeit seen to good effect. Remains with handicapping scope and no forlorn hope on return.
Low-mileage 5-y-o who bounced back to best when landing 15-runner Leicester handicap (6f) in October. Did too much too soon when midfield behind Magical Effect at Pontefract final start and present mark remains workable on return.
C&D winner. Latest win at Pontefract in October. 13¼ lengths sixth of 9 to Redrosezorro in handicap (4/1) at this course (6f, heavy) in October, never landing a blow from midfield. Possible he'll sharpen up for this run.
Multiple course winner who was well backed when making final start for Eric Alston a winning one over 6f here in October. Has often needed his first start of the campaign so interesting to see what the betting makes of him on debut for new yard.
13/2, career best when winning 11-runner handicap at Thirsk (7f, soft) 8 days ago, responding well. No surprise to see her out under a penalty and she's one to consider.
C&D winner. 8/1, eighth of 11 in handicap at Ayr (7.2f, soft) in September, headed over 2f out and eased final 100 yds. Not out of things returned to this venue on seasonal bow.

Legal Reform (11/4), Miss Calculation (11/4), Special Mayson (4/1), Metabolt (8/1), Langholm (10/1), Shahnaz (12/1), Ey Up Its The Boss (14/1), Magical Effect (14/1), Two Summers (14/1), Parys Mountain (18/1), Roundhay Park (20/1), Motawaazy (22/1), Beauty Choice (22/1), Redrosezorro (50/1)
A competitive race of its type and it may pay to side with METABOLT. Best excused his final start last term, he'd previously caught the eye at Chester and his mark looks an exploitable one. Recent Thirsk winner Miss Calculation heads up the dangers along with Special Mayson and Motawaazy.
