Twice-raced gelding. 50/1, first run since leaving Jean-Rene Auvray when fourth of 10 in maiden at this course (12f) 28 days ago, not unduly punished. Significantly back down in trip. Will make more appeal in handicaps.

Forecasts

Lose Your Wad (15/8), Cracksking (10/3), Royal Cape (9/2), Prosper Legend (9/2), Abu Royal (5/1), Tables Turned (40/1), Manila Mist (50/1), Silence Is Golden (150/1), Musterion (250/1)

Verdict

ABU ROYAL has a rather precocious pedigree for one making their debut at 3 yrs but he makes plenty of appeal on paper and could well be sharp enough to see off fellow debutant Prosper Legend, whose pedigree appeals as that of a real middle distance type. Lose Your Wad was promising first time up at Newmarket late last season and can also be involved.
